Stopped out for -20PIPS on that one... yesterdays profit in the toilet...

I dont understand why gbp/usd ; eur/usd and usd/chf down down all day ????

Yesterday Henry Liu was looking for an announcement @AUD (I dont'n) know if targets are met to enter the trade, but Oracle didn`t look for it.

Today is another day... I'm concern about a market consolidation until fryday (US Unemployment)

hello all,

i am new to forex. i would like to trade only at news times. i want live streaming news from inoformation resourses like thomson reutors.

i have searched their website but coudnt get the subscription link.

i want get live streaming news on non-form payrolls and other major news events.

how can i approach them.. can anybody help me by giving me subscription link of thomson reutors or any other company.

Hey. I had a great trick when I used to trade news.

Ten minutes before the realease make a straddle. Open bollinger bands and put an order 10 pips up the upper band and 10 pips below the lower bollinger band. If it's not a big impact news then put the orders 5 pips up the upper band and 5 pips lower the lower band.

If you want to use a straddle method, you can use the EA I posted in the original post. Practice with it on a DEMO first. Only trade BIG NEWS events with it. Exit immediately if the news release actual is not meeting triggers.

Are you going to continue in this thread? I'm evaluating too Dustin vs Liu. As fas as i'm looking now donīt need neither....

1 minute. If the news are important do it 10 pips upper and lower the band. If the are not huge like the NFP and are less significant put the straddle 5 pipd upper and lower.

The reason I use the Ora...Tra... is to get direct news feed to my desktop. AND secondly to know by using Dustin's quotes and Henry's quotes if the news release is worth trading AND thirdly to know what triggers are safe for BUY or SELL. If triggers are not met, we exit the trade (straddle) as soon as possible to prevent WIPSAW.

I'm using DEMO. Trading manually. I don't trade the spike, because brokers will screw you. Rather learn to trade after spike retracement.

My experience: stay away from FXpro (requote all the time) and IBFX has market execution, that will srew you. If you wanna trade the spike, I'll suggest Oanda, even though they trend to widen the spread up to 10 PIPS, but with Big news releases, that's ok, their execution is best that I know so far...
