You may all be interested to know that we have upgraded our demo systems this weekend. We have added two additional data centres in Singapore and Perth which should help to speed up the demo and also add to reliability and security.

The maximum lot size per click is 20. The maximum leverage with us is 500:1.

Are you saying GoM will switch the distanced servers like in Australia and US to the S'pore center for existing clients? With or with their consents? What benefits to gain?

No, I am not saying we will switch servers. We have added two additional DCs to improve performance for the demo.

in test 10 lots maximun and my real account is 10 lots

for gomarkets, would be good extend fast payment/withdrawal with paypal and debit cards also for international users, bank transfers are slow expensive and complex

Can you email or PM me with your account number so I can see if there is a problem?

Also, it is important to note that 20 lots is our maximum as standard, but it can be increased on a case by case basis if you are looking to do larger trading.

Hi,

We do accept debit/credit cards for payments which does speed up deposits considerably.
For bank wires that are sent to us, we will cover any bank fees that are incurred by our bank ,they dont always charge and it depends where the transfer comes from i.e 99% of charges are for overseas wires but if they do then its covered.
At least these 2 options speed up transfers and reduce costs and hopefully answers your questions.

I have a question...

1/ If you accept payment via debit/credit cards, then when the clients are requesting for withdrawal funds, will GoM make payments to the debit/credit cards, too?

2/ There is a statement highlighted in your web site for withdrawal funds:

Funds can only be returned to a bank account in the same name (or joint) as your GO Markets account due to third party transaction regulations.

Aren't that clients must make payments or receive funds via their "bank accounts" as stated?

Kindly clarify.

As you have pasted above, we can only send funds to a bank account int he same name as the GO Markets account. We do not send funds back to a credit/debit card.

I've made several bank wires and in all of them GoMarkets is not covered the fees applied.

Hi,

We introduced this new offer about a month ago and it covers international bank wire fees that are charged by our bank - NAB. We do not cover any fees charged by the clients bank or any corresponding bank that is used as thats out of our hands but we are happy to help in somke way.
If you feel that some charges havent been covered by us then please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Having seen a number of comments about the new CFTC rules, I just wanted to say that as we are regulated in Australia by ASIC we see no impact to our clients at present, and you should all be able to trade with us as normal.

Hi,

We have heard nothing from ASIC regarding any changes in rules and to be honest I doubt they would change it as its not as big a marketplace here in Australia as it is in the US plus there are no currency futures exchanges for them to compare margins with.
As far as we are concerned we welcome overseas clients and the CFTC rules at face value dont seem to affect us at all as we are not regulated in that jurisdiction.

And if you guys are smart (and I have no reason to think otherwise) you will not accept any mandates, invitations or any entreaties of any kind from the American regulatory nitwits. It is a sad day because increasingly Americans are finding it necessary to vote with their feet in order to find freedom.

I am using GoMarkets as my broker and I'm a U.S. citizen...while it is good that GoMarkets is unlikely to kick me out, the problem is the CFTC could decree that U.S. citizens can't use overseas brokers (that are not registered with CFTC), making it illegal for me to use GoMarkets. If that happens, I will have no choice but to close my account and go back to a U.S. broker.

Well, there are at least three other possibilities for you.

Look into forming an entity outside the USA, domiciled in a friendly country. Form, say an IBC (International Business Corporation) or otherwise and trade in the name of that entity. Since such corporations are a separate legal entity it will only require that the broker/dealer accept the Corp. as a customer.

If you're in a position to do so, get dual citizenship (yes, it is entirely legal) and none of this regulatory nonsense created for your "protection" will apply to you at all. When you apply for your brokerage account, you do so under your non-USA citizenship.

Or if you're now trading and making a living at it, depart the USA and move to the place of your dreams, live there as an expat (short for expatriate which means one who lives outside the country of one's birth) and trade from your hammock enjoying your newfound freedom (if that sounds ironic, it was meant to).

You wont be the first, or the last to do so.
