For housing (as with many things in life), this depends on a lot of variables and there are tons of pros and cons but here are the major factors I'd highlight:
-Your job & prospects for jobs in your geographical area - You have to be able to afford it, and someone...Ignored

Samer does not make 20%/year return on his money. The 20% is monthly.
Actually, as he was saying - it's not an investment....it's a good time to buy a home. Too many people think buying a home is an investment. It's not. (Most times.)
Where I live, the average property tax on a 300k home, (average in the neighborhood.) is about $5600 a year. That means you have to have that much of appreciation in home value to break even - if you have no maintenance issues as well for the year! ha.
I am thinking of buying as well, but maybe another year. I personally have no time to houses, but my wife keeps bitching about it. (Truth be known, my father owns a bunch of houses, so I will have them someday.....) But in the mean time, I couldn't care less to be honest.
I would of course, be interested in Dad's house on Key Marathon if the damn oil would stop leaking.

anyone know how to bring the size of the webpage down? somehow I zoomed in on FF, and now every time I go here it's zoomed in. it's driving me nuts. lol
i am using firefox, and i thought maybe it was a setting, but it's just this site.
it's the little things that get me i am afraid.

Hold CTRL and press 0 (zero) will reset the zoom to default.
