MT4 Alerts to Cell phone?

I am trying to get an alert signal to my cell phone. When i go to tools, options and then email, I fill in all the info and hit test. I get an alert test to my phone. But I can't get the alert from a chart. Any ideas??

you need a script or EA to send a mail.

I have been working with Oculaw on this and discovered the cause of the problem. The length of the text message must be short. I don't know the exact number of bytes allowed, but my first alert was longer than the MT4 test message. I shortened it to be less and it worked.

I thought it worthwhile to document it here as I haven't seen it mentioned before on any forum.
