hi ec,

for S&B i did a test with 90% modeling in this month at tf=15... with no power lot...
25 winning opening and one losses but one losses wipe it out all and end up have loss.
average profit trade=2.81 and one losses=130.99... all total minus 60.65

with forward testing, it look like always winning too with 3 pips... no loss yet...
it is kind confusing because TP =25 pips....

why it close every win 3 pips? or is it closing that you said end up with winning closing before it hit TP and reverse like you said above?

i put in one hour TF, i think it does not matter with number 1 setup= only buy.

So what lot size were you using, versus opening deposit? Sounds like you may need to lower it a bit.

No, it shouldn't do that, not unless you had more than one trade opened before it closed. If so, it will close early because you have "padded" the equity. Meaning you have more money in the account, so you don't have to go so far to reach the "target" set internally.

There could be something wrong with the code though, because I was having problems with it earlier but, thought I had fixed it?

No, because it's only based upon price action (I think) and it shouldn't matter which time frame it's in. There is really nothing there, like an indicator to spot the overall trend, regardless of time frame, although it will make adjustments for price action.

hi ec,

at the back test : it is with 0.1 lot with 1 pips=1 dollar, opening is 10.000

forward test :0.1 lot with 1 pips=1 dollar. it has only one trade at the opening only 0.1 lot.

all back test every opening is 0.1 lot... because i don't use powerlot,=0

Yeah, I just noticed this when forward testing it. And you're right, it's 3 pips. I don't think it was doing it when I was backtesting it.

Okay, I think I see what happened. I was modifying the code and inadvertently deleted the variable that resets and updates the equity once all orders have closed out. It should work now.

I also added a new input called Equity_Target so you can adjust this. Before I had it set at 1.01, which explains why you were only getting 3 pips, because the equity variable wasn't getting updated. I now set it to 1.25 (as default), as I believe it's reasonable. That means once you reach 125% of the Take Profit value of first order (1.25 x TP) and other orders are open, it will close all orders at that point. And, since 1.25 x TP is a greater value than the TP itself, it doesn't mean anything if only one order was opened. It just ignores it and closes the order when it's supposed to.

I have also set this value as high 2.5 and it didn't seem to affect the performance any. So, it's something to experiment with.

Wow! I just tested it after setting it to 5. I made an additional $10,000 (lot size of 2 and Power Lots on) in the same four month period. On top of that the profit factor increased to 4.01 (from 2.89) and the drawdown decreased to 67.13 (from 415.66). That's amazing! It looks like more is better, at least in this instance.

Of course there is probably a maximum value being reached (when set that high), for it is just closing out once it reaches the TP value of the first order. The maximum value I would guess, is probably close to 3. It you set it to anything above that you should get the same results.

But, then again maybe not? I just set it to 7 and made an additional $10,000 over the previous tests! With a profit factor of 5.62 and slight in increase in drawdown to 101.99.

Hey, did you see what I did here? The most recent version of Shake and Bake will have this incorporated so you can suspend all trading (with multiple versions of EA) with one click on Profit Monitor. You can also do this with other EA's by modifying the code.

What, are you saying it's closing out early like before? If so, I think I know what the problem is. It's because I'm writing and testing it on a mini account. And no, I haven't noticed any problems here. However, I do have a standard demo account, and noticed I had the same problems you were having. That's because you have to multiply the lot sizes by 10 when switching over from a mini account to standard account or, at least that's the way it is with IBFX. So, I may have to modify it in order to adjust for that.

Okay, it looks like I fixed it. Now it looks like it's working the way it should on a Standard account. Will probably email you a copy in the next day or two. You will probably have a lot better results too.

yes, it is close early...

thank you, for new version, hopefully it fix. i tried it no problem yet...

about profit monitor, that is awesome... it look like work together...

this is one of the management to prevent all losses when fundamental change

but i am still confused, is it every action base on profit target(profit management)? when do action close all, close early and suspend?

hopefully it can have loss management> before it hit maksimun loss can detect to suspend and close all position...> maybe that will really work the code to measure movement pips in seconds, it work like this...

when position is buy and then there is moving pips in seconds go lower (unusual like 75 pips in seconds) it will close early=close all and suspend the ea.

because SB feature power lot and equity work it is goodl, that would be great for switcher....

what indicator do you think will work for SB?are you consider Heiken too ?

only heiken kind of powerfull to see the medium trend when attach to the right TF...

but heiken use already at switcher, if use heiken, you can put that feature at switcher, is that the same right?

It will close all automatically after you input Target Price and then "set" it with Close_All_Set_0_1 (although this is going to change). The other two are options that you choose in the property box after you open the EA and want to close out early or suspend trading. Again, they are not automatic like the first.

when first time starting the ea, do you have any idea untill how many pips it will close losing position... because at this time no pads yet...

i have around - 120 pips floating loss in one losing position...

Have you had a chance to backtest it yet? It may take 5 or 6 trades to occur before it actually closes the position. While mainly when you get "behind" like this, what you trying to do is find the best place to quit or, break even ... i.e., where this Equity_Target occurs. Which is actually set at 1.25 (currently) or, 125% of a "winning" trade. So you are really doing better than breaking even. Of course when I had it set at "7," which is seven times a winning trade or 700% (which I think is about the max), that's when I really raked in the profit.

What you really need to do is look at the action while backtesting in order to see how it works.

ok, i know how it work then now thank you for the explanation ec...

i did not back test yet, i just realized i have to select the name ea when backtesting, that why it never work, hehe i confuse about it the whole day...

What, you need "pads?" I'm just in the process of adding a "switcher" option, that switches between Buy and Sell and has the option to hedge when it gets too "deep." That should help. In fact I just got the switcher working and added a trailing stop (which doesn't quite work) and added the code that starts hedging when it "falls back" by two trades. Am just now getting ready to test it. If it works, I'll email you a copy in a little bit.
