For the euro to be a fully Fledged currency will require "both a central bank and a Treasury," George Soros writes in an opinion column for the Financial Times. In the column, posted on the FT's Web site Sunday, Soros wrote "When the financial system is in danger of collapsing...only a Treasury can deal with problems of solvency." Soros said the 2008 crisis revealed a flaw in the euro's "construction," and that the current crisis in Greece "bought matters to a climax." Soros, who is the chairman of Soros Fund Management, said what is needed is "more intrusive monitoring and institutional arrangements for conditional assistance." He also said it would be desirable to have a well-organized eurobond market. But he questioned whether the political will existed for these steps to be taken, and said "The survival of Greece would still leave the future of the euro in question. Even if it handles the current crisis, what about the next one?"

We have biggest short interest on EUR ever.
We have Soros telling us that even if we solve this Greek thing what next ?

I expect Jim Rogers to say " sell all EUR before they worth nothing."
Everyone making money selling the EUR.

So I am contrarian now. Targeting 1.38 this week.

you need at least one of 3 things for a strong currency.

strong banking system
strong manufacturing
commodities

ez banking is on the edge of failing. they have no commodities. china just took #1 one from germany. unemployment high is u.s. the #1 consumer. so they are buying less and what they buy is cheaper products. s korea who has picked up market share as ez lost it, atm is reporting lower sales.. the west can not compete with asian pay. and with a pegged currency system, we never will.

oh and cat laid off..

Soros and Rogers are my favorite speculators. All I am saying they usually come to media when things are about to change. Remember Rogers when he said sell all pounds. I think was exactly when GBP bottom last year.

But I have a lot of respect for both of them.

a short at 1.3620 sloss 1.3650 target 1.3560 based on fibs once it gets there look to buy to take it to 1.3750 area

This statement above equals (=) to about:

"Survival of Alabama ("Greece is slightly smaller than the state of Alabama")

still leave the future of the Dollar in question"

They think they

can squeeze juice out of the short position forever without any problems.

Dollar will always drift lower over long term on Supply and Demand scenario alone.

US bear market rally soon going to be over it's like 2+2 = 4.

The daily forms a pinbar on 19th which says to me it's going to 3735ish. two previous pinbars on 5th and 12th retraced to correct areas before heading further south so i'm long now at 3612.

I think Soros already is well position ahead of the game since He double his bet on Gold.

i also remember him saying a major currency would fail.. its hard enough for a single gov. to stay together. imagine many more. the strong make the weak weaker. the weaker make the strong weaker.. tick tock.. they all see it.. its just a matter of time..

remeber oil to 200 at 148 ?

dj to 16000 at 14400?

dj to 3500 at 7000 ?

gold to 1500 at 1200 ?

euro to 1.1 at 1.3500 ? lol ( futures prediction)

for sure the weekly trend is down .... wave 4 may be about to commence on weekly and why not make the most of it ?

do we really think that the hedge fund are going to tell all us retial traders that they are net short ... highest shorts they have ever been ? that would just be to easy . I would love to know why we have double dojis on a weekly .. either 1 ) profit taken ...why then has this happened 2 weeks in a row) ,,b) pros are buying here and unloading their highest ever short positions ....they have to buy ..

If this 3622 holds, i think we will retest the 3550/35 area....however, if it pierces thru 3622 are you looking for 3668?
