No Free Lunch: Director's Cut

I have been reading all of the DIBS and Inside Bar threads. The Inside Bar idea is simple enough. It seems like traders are trying to improve something that works. DIBS pays off more times than not. There is no need to add anything. Money management is the key. In Vegas, it's win or lose. All or nothing. If I keep my losses in the 7 - 10 pip range, at the end of the session, I come out ahead. That's all. Thanks to all that have shared.

Hi Phreddy, I looked around a bit and... yes its Tro's indicator. Which I believe is partially commercial or "donation ware".

The indicators show what is happening to the currency pairs.

The upper indicator shows the pair and whether or not there is a pending or current inside bar. It shows the short trigger (ST), long trigger (LT), stop loss (SL) and the profit/loss (PL) for the last inside bar. The arrow shows if price is above or below the session open price. The arrowhead indicates short or long trade. Get Ready means price is within the inside bar range.

The lower indicator shows how many pips price is above/below the last inside bar for that time period for the last X bars. I check the last 10 bars.

It's just too bad that exchanging (some) trading information on a trading forum on the information highway is not allowed. Who wins when the free flow is shut down?

Having read through all of the DIBS postings.....at least the good ones. I have a few thoughts

I would be most interested to know if the people who had back tested the system had build in the whole concept of the hot hand, time factor (first 9 to 10 hours of the day) as well as piling on positions.

If you follow the concept of using a trailing stop of say a 10 MA/20 MA/whatever MA - its actually pretty easy to see how PC screens his DIBs trades beyond time entry and playing the hot hand. It is the key to building to on to existing positions.

Look forward to reading about less nonsense about DIBS
