Hi WB,
I am wondering are most of your trades shorts?
I know some traders only short regardless of the trend looking for retracement.
However I am long cable and fibre 2 days now. I was surprised the last time I asked you had avoided the dragon long.

Most of my trades were short because of the overall trend. I find it easier to profit that way as the momentum is always stronger. You can browse through my thread since it was started, I'd reckon 70% - 80% of my positions were short & it seldom fails. But that's just me.
Last week however I made some bad trading mistakes shorting when the momentum up was at its peak & I completely ignored the long signals I had.
The psychological battle of trading is never ending for me I reckon. Usually happens when one gets complacent & I was complacent.
Needed a right kick up the butt to be reminded that the market's the boss & not me

I understand. Thank you. I too made some very poor decisions last week trading, pairs I don't Namely GBP & EUR / AUD.
I have made my losses back but it was completely unnecessary and foolish to continue due to one good trade.
The reason i ask is b/c after studying short entries and taking them to a certain point, after several I began to notice on fibre and cable that there was somewhat of a reversal in progress, and for longer term trades I
looked for a valid entry point "long" based on closing the short.
I studied fibre daily and H1 and cable H4 - Using support - res. and ma's only.
It seemed after retracement the next resistance on both pairs were broken.
Then decided to take longs based on the retracement often not going below
the last bottom.
I found the USD is still weakening, for further validation.
Then thought why not just long on a dip and ride for a few days which is what I have done.
Hope this is clear enough.
Thus, i thought you might have considered the same concept.
