I assume this was with your live feed? I've been having multiple disconnects for around a week now.

Fortunately, this only the demo I'm running for testing but it still makes a nonsense when trying to set limit/stop orders. I'm not talking news trading here.

My live account is with IBFX and apart from spread widening, which doesn't bother me the way I trade, I have had no problems at all.

C'mon Alpari, I want to go live with you and bring my money back from the States but I'm having real concerns.

In recent weeks Alpari's demo is totally unusable, there are connection problems several times a day and then gaps on the charts.

I have account with them and personally i think there customer service is out standing so far.

Customer Service Comes After Trading (Platform) Service.

Though some Bucketshops even dont bother to care for Customer service too after looting newbies of their money using their Dirty games!

Hi
I have been using alpari uk for the past 1.5 years, basically in part time basis, after working.
I want to open a live acct (mini type) soon instead of demoing, with eventually go for the standard acct.
Can you pls. comment should I go with alpari uk?

Demo servers/feeds have NOTHING to do with live feeds.

Alpari's demo server frequently disconnects and not from a couple of weeks but at least an year, since I use their demo. If you think it is a problem then simply change the broker, there's no money involved in demo.

I also have a live feed and I can tell you that although I am not using it for trading I checked this feed every time the demo feed disconnected (this week). The live feed never got disconnected.

Please people keep the demo feeds out of the broker comparision stuff, it means nothing really.

I am full time trader and i trade for living and i have not faced any problem with alpari so far

I had no troubles at all too, but I am with them on real account only for two weeks.

I got 2 classic live accounts with them since February of this year, sometimes I get requotes, sometimes they spike up the spread rates to like 16 to 20 pips (mostly during huge economic news periods) but it can get quite frustrating too, sometimes their live trade servers go down (however this happens very rarely). Their demo servers seem to go offline more often than their live servers these days.

Overall i'm still satisfied with their services, withdrawals are quite fast, there were a few times where the withdrawal forms was sent in the morning, and money already was in my bank account in the afternoon.

I probably give them 3.8/5 stars I guess.

Since new week trading started alpari UK has obviously disabled the "complete history" viewing function on all my long time running demo accounts

Once in the past a good broker is going from bad to worse with all these tiny dirty tricks!

Traders beware!

Yes, it is very hard to place (or close) an order from Alpari's Terminal without requote or "Bad price" message - even under normal market conditions when maximum deviation is 30-50 pips (decimal). But there are practically no problems when you are placing orders from Multiterminal or using scripts with max deviation 10-15, so install it and see the difference.
