US Dollar Gains as Japan's Capital Investment Tumbles, Sinking Asian Equities (Euro Open)

The US Dollar gained in overnight trading as a selloff on Asian equities exchanges drove demand for the safety-correlated currency after Japan’s Tankan survey revealed that large companies’ capital investment fell the most in nearly a decade in the third quarter. German Retail Sales and UK Manufacturing PMI are on tap ahead.

• Euro, British Pound Sold as Stocks Retreat in Asian Trading, Boosting USD Demand

The Euro slipped as much as -0.2% against the US Dollar in overnight trading while the British Pound shed -0.3% as a selloff on Asian equities exchanges drove demand for the safety-correlated greenback. The MSCI Asia Pacific regional benchmark fell 1.1% as Japan’s capital investment fell more than expected in the third quarter (see below), threatening hopes of economic recovery. We remain short GBPUSD at 1.6617 and EURUSD at 1.4710.

c is the more likely to be hit..the lettered ones are slightly stronger. they just let me know where i am at a glance because i dont have bigger tf charts open usually.

I'm looking at the Cable too. It seems to have stalled any strength for the dollar at 1.5923.

My charts says 1.4442 may be possible this week but we still have some hurdles to clear and 1.4511 has not been reached.

Resistance: 1.4891, 1.4845, 1.4759, 1.4724, 1.4691
Support: 1.4664, 1.4622, 1.4580, 1.4511, 1.442

This was such a quick move that I didn't get a chance of checking your numbers. PA actually bounced up a few pips earlier than I expected. It was supposed to bounce north exactly at 1.4600 but bounced up a little before that. It was strange pa behavior, therefore I also acted strange and entered a short seconds before this down move
