overall trend is bullish, i don't understand why are you going short, unless to scalp a few pips

Fair play on a courageous trade I'm not trying to pick but I have been burned in a similar scenario before. There were some wise words on FF about trading with the trend from Jacko who said if you make a mistake the trend will get you out of trouble.

I stopped giving complete trade management a couple months back.
The thing is, if you check back on my previous early posts, I use partial TP that is dynamic dependig on the PA. INtraday I follow the 3 min so watch that for PA. It hit to the exact pip 1.4534 (a level I was watching for partial TP). It's easy to figure that level. When it bounced from there, there was a high probability of a retest, I took my partial on the failed retest, and left the rest open. ONly a small position. You need to constantly monitor the trade for partial TP. That's my style. Occassionally I switch to intermediate. Like the run up to 1.4500. I am in intraday mode, though held 1/2 small position overnight. Don't let a good profit turn into a loss or even meagre profit, trail with a 3 bar stop to protect profits. Once in a trade, it's all about protecting profits and leaving some to run as far as possible. I like to say sit on the train. It's psychological.My early trade calls showed my style. I wasn't going to keep posting those as it would become spamming the thread.
I am positioning to short off 1.4593, now 1.4597, if it gets there. Meanwhile my 1/2 position short is open which I am keeping for an intermediate term trade until it hits my full TP.

Out of my short from yesterday with 30+ pips. A lot of USD news today that should "theoretically" strengthen USD, gold leveled of below 1000. The trend still bullish and we can probably go as high as 4680. Flat for now.

Thanks Atlast. I did take 2/3 of my trade off at 4535 at a pivot since it did not go thru. I was just saying i got stopped out at BE on the retest back up. I was trying to see if you still look at 4600 or 4530 as i tough area of R as I do.

Any pitchfork analysis for today or are you still using the one from yesterday? My charts dont do 3 min. Any MT4 broker that does?

Recheck chart as already long , seems wedge to break up ,can down to 1.4553,will add more there.ok for me now .sl placing below 1.4530 if any spikes down due any news .

china banks loaned easy money.. people bought houses and stock with it like, u.s 1929(roaring 20ties).. it pumped up the chinese stock market and housing.. now chinese are defaulting on homes/loans and stock market cant sustain without fresh meat. he says bubble.. if hes/i is right commodities fall.. usd strengthtens.. and the house of cards fall..closer to the floor this time.. it will be worse then the last..so im going to disney world.

Listening to the Bloomberg radio tonight, I felt overwhelmed by all the good news. The press is altogether much too upbeat. I won't be able to take much more of it.

I was also looking at the triangle from yesterday. Don't usually trade 15M, was just poking around.
