Yes that is pretty accurate but they both have those times of the month that neither are very fun.

To clarify the importance of the 6434 could you show where it originates on a chart?? or state a time on a chart to look at to discover the event.

We have the whole h4 that needs to confirm the breakout of it's range, this pullback is not surprising, now I don't want to see price go over 6434 since that was our last pullback price to confirm the h1 breakout.

Robgsxr - Take a look at this hourly chart I've attached. The thick black line is 6434. Hopefully this will help clarify things for you a bit.

Also, look at a 4 hour chart and you should see similar things pointing you to the 6434 level.

And don't be sorry, as I'm sure there are plenty of others lurking or reading along that are wondering the same thing..

I have been analysing the charts as you have shown and I have the areas highlighted as you have. It just appears that the specific value EO states was a critical value to close above/below to provide direction.

I have what I believe is called a spike base around this level (hourly candle high after the drop to 1.63978) which I assume is what EO is referring to, just that this hourly base was 4 pips higher at 1.64381.

These are the tiny details which I feel might help me move forwards some more.

hi eo,

does this mean you put your stop to entry -10 (adjusted for spread)? so if the trade goes against you you book 0 pips?

No, when I go to BE on SL, it's at BE, no adjustment for spread or anything. I was short from 6480, booked 10 at 6470, booked 10 more at 6460. When I booked the first 10, I set my SL at 6480.

Thank you NY for the charts and your explaination!

The value of closing below 6434 was critical for the bears on the h4 because it would have confirmed the break south on the h4. The lowest wick of the range on the h4 was 6434 so price had to close below it, otherwise, the dblhc on the h4 provided the power to the bulls to drive price north and that's exactly what they have done.
