I will be looking to go long cable this evening or tomorrow morning. Think there will be a bit of a bounce in equities on monday, nuthing significant obviously as market prepares for company announcements this week at Retail sales on tuesday and unemployment figures in the UK on weds

I have come here from T2W, over there everyone bloody uses technical analysis. Just wanted to know how many people on here use fundamental/quantitative techniques.

u cud open a can of worms wid a post liike that...but i believe u need to understand both....buy dips in an uprend, and sell rally in a downtrend. to be able to do so u need to b comfortable with both TA AND FA

really believe that the USD bull will follow this week. based on that? based on the need for strength to face the difficulties USD still found in Europe (EURO)

Spain Government Approves More Funds For Country's Regions

MADRID (Dow Jones)--The Spanish government said Sunday it will give regional governments a bigger share of the country's tax revenue to help them pay basic services to a growing population.
In a press release, the government said it will distribute the funds to reflect the current makeup of each region, reflecting the population growth and shifts that have taken place in the past ten years. Other factors such as age differences, the size of each region, and how dispersed the population is are also now included in how the financing is determined.
The vast majority of the funds are destined for education, health care and other social services.
The reform comes after months of debate between Spain's government and its regional governments over how the funds should be tabulated and distributed. The Catalonia region, for example, has long demanded more funds.

I am just curious- I know I can still put stops and t/ps. But any ideas how to manage the trailing stops in light of all these new rules? Esp. for scalping.

they have a certian amount of room to manipulate there little dealing desk and that is where it ended. They always have to come back to where the market truely or close to it but they control the whole deal if you dont have a ecn broker

Looking at the EUR-USD chart we see that the week closed with a doji. The downwards pressure seems to have subsided. The low of last week was 1.3832 and High was 1.4072. We are still in the 600 point range and consolidating between 1.4338 - 1.3748.

My Bias remains to the upside. We could remain in this range for the rest of the month of July '09 as we form a bull flag to go higher.
