That is one thing that I do have with this market - I'm probably the only one on this thread that has waited two years for a trade to come back Or maybe there are others but they are too embarrassed to say Will sit down and pour over charts tonight but thanks for the heads up

yes 50/50 is predictable.. your no smarter then the market. what you think is multiplied by the millions thinking the same way. the news is priced in many times..many times we end up where we started.

have read about some experienced traders that have trade-the-news strategies, so must be some telltale signs one can use. Not sure if thats before or after the numbers though.

Analysts will always find an explanation after the event.

im sure there are.. if news goes against daily/wk trend but is not that strong.. the trend should resume on a s/r.. so s/r may be a good entry for trend resumming. sl could be just a few pips on the other side of s/r with a good r/r. me personally i wait to ambush a pair. with s/r. i dont just get in... but i dont scalp much. i get in on pullbacks only..

last month on 26th may same time as today the euro went up and dollar went down on a confidence figure which is higher than predicted .

so it seems so far that its not good for currency after all.

from today movement and last month movement .

but we need some profs. who can describe what's going on behind these figures.

It could just have been end-of-month, end-of-quarter profit taking and the Consumer Confidence figure was just an excuse to take them.

you can't sell and buy simple goods Ex" furniture , pc supplies , ...etc "if you don't know anything about it.

technical trading makes $$ for most of us and we know it but to advance in the career you have to study more and know more about the euro .

this is what we buy and what we sell . and we have to know it like the back of our hand.

meanwhile the study trading technical levels will grow our experience more .

extra knowledge always pays off , and if you know exactly whats going on behind the seen you could only trade the news and make 5 times what you can do with technical.

but it meant 80 pips in that hour . and if you know what most likely will happen on certain figures you could make fortune out of those 80 pips

I don't know how can you say that knowing and understanding news bulletins and the behavior of the market on economic events is useless.
