Technicaly weekly and daily are still pointing up! however need to break above 1.4140/50 for further gains and , risk /reward is good buy now stop just below 1.4000. tp is open.

To those that disagree - OK, for the people that invest globally, they do it when THEIR markets are open.

So even if people are going to exchange currencies to buy stocks in other markets, they're going to do it the next day when their market opens.

That's why when you read something that says "this should be dollar positive" and you go long on the dollar, you always get taken that day but the next day price does...
about the news, I think that news affect PA (forex) not that you can predict PA

about stocks, I still dont get "you can have dollars or you can have stock" thing, because stocks are in dollars

cnbc just had a guy telling the truth.. he said the 13000 was on borrowed money. and was bs also. so the new norm may be 1999 numbers in stock markets. he left that dumbass dennis guy speechless. ill add many people have been burned and they are not coming back.. and many will burned if it is a bubble now. meanwhile the used car salesmen are selling from within..leaving the others to hold the mt bag..

By saying "you can have dollars or you can have stock" I'm making a simple example of supply and demand at the time of news. If news for the US economy is good then everyone wants stock. If not, then everyone wants to hold dollars because a piece of paper (stock) can't buy anything. So currencies are going to react to what happens w/ stocks/etc, simply because you need currency to buy those things.


It really doesn't matter the reasoning behind it all (at least not to me, and my explaination may be complete hogwash...) I'm just posting my answer to the problem that we always have at news time where FF and all other experts say something is dollar positive but that same news drives the dollar down and everyone is like "BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DOLLAR POSITIVE!?!?!" So I'm just telling you how I think about it based on common sense from someone that knows nothing about markets, stocks, the government, who does what, pretty much anything that the experts know. I really don't care about all that, I just want to make money and know that "x news" will make "y" happen, and for some reason I'm right and have no problem understanding the results of news when everyone else is bitching that "it's impossible, it's doing the opposite of what it's supposed to do?!?!?!"

I'm just trying to flick through posts but I'm so dizzy from the sun I've got those imaginary white spots in my vision. Got a year's worth of sun in one day I think - 31 degrees. Have to check out CNBC, love to see the interview and I have still to look at those levels/years you talked about earlier but nice one mate. My long on AUD got stopped out at 0.8070, was long from the dip last Thursday at 0.7961. More analysing to see where I should get in long - lol ....

No green monthly candle for EUR then, AUD and GBP still green

never predictable. you may get exactly the numbers you want and market goes another direction.. plus headfakes can hit sl.. dont trade news till 10/15 m later.. sometimes even longer tf

There is not rules that say when such "news" is good, the market must go up or vice versa.If it was that easy the will be no market. that why many trader prefer to stay away until dust sellte.. or the play straddle both side of market for potencial directional brakout. and read the news after just for fun.

daily r3 or s3 pullbacks only with tight sl going in direction of main trend. is a good entry..but you have to have patience. you dont get many entries. but you can set it and forget it.. thats a good entry on most tf..

News is always 50/50, in other words, completely unpredictable. The only prediction you can make is "If news is good, price will do this" or "If it is bad, it will do this."

I use my explanation to do that and the outcome of news always makes perfect sense to me based on the facts when applied to my explanation, even though the outcome is always the opposite of what everyone else seems to be saying it "should be" based on the numbers and they wonder why "it's not doing what it's supposed to" when it makes perfect sense to me (regardless of whether my "common sense" explanation is based on any truth whatsoever lol.)

yes 50/50 is predictable.. your no smarter then the market. what you think is multiplied by the millions thinking the same way. the news is priced in many times..many times we end up where we started.

where humans prone to errors and mistakes, looses are inavitable in this game. the sooner your accept the fact the better, you will starts taking the best trade to increase hit rate and controled MM to last a lil longer.

Might be but now-a-day they go opposit direction not as typical news reaction that if a good US news will react by oppsite movement before it suddenly back to the direction in favour of usd and lastly again come to the neutral level before the news & do take direction as doing before.

Now almost opposit , a good US news will immediately go against USD.
