not an unreasonable scenario - among the multitudes of others. good luck; lemme know how it works for you - in the meantime; I went a bought a new roll of duct-tape for my hat, I ran out.

This what I am trying to learn for last few days. I am very weak at spotting trend direction. I tried it during this week but failed. Lost hefty profit made in the begining of the month i.e. over 5% plus my own money. I don't know why it is so difficult for me to identify the trend and just go with it. This is the reason I have adopted a crazy system which is more like a martingale. I have to limit my profit taking to a ridiculously low low level to manage that risk. I only get decent profits when have gradually increased my lot sizes to a sizeable number near a strong s/r and things turn into my favor from there. However, if pa goes against me from that s/r I close my position. Since I open most of the lots near that s/r my risk is low when pa corsses that s/r. But if it goes in my favor from the inception, my profits are very very low. I want to change this and trying for that.

Never sell @ lower upward channel unless breacked and vise versa .

I think its him actually weaken dollar, otherwise, Fed would not say on Wednesday, ok, we would purchase more debt and print more money. The Fed is sending signal to market that U.S now want a weak dollar policy to stimulate economy. Thats also why on yesderday, the correlation between dollar and equity market didnt exist anymore, Fed is everything in the market.

So dont expect him too much for shorting eur

45 degrees has no meaning when talking trading. stretch your chart or change the time frame and then your perfect 45 degrees will not be 45 degrees anymore. You want to talk about gradient. And for EUR/USD it's not a high gradient - had been higher and for longer periods of time.

i dont think you failed.. nobody knew about those clowns talking about that at that moment in time..it screwed up everything...unforseen when you took the trade.. look where we are now.. you can credit hundreds of these pips to that news.. with the news we should be much higher then we are.. but we are not..

yeah but weaken dollar and lose its status as reserve currency?

imagine US having to pay off its debts in yuan, or worse... gold. you cant print gold.

a weak dollar screws europe, japan, chindia ect.. puts them in worse economy... reality has to catch up...u.s. is worried about jobs... weak dollar and no job in u.s. scews all who export to u.s.
