Yeah but who are the bidders going to be? International corporations, China, etc... might as well just get out the scissors and cut the signatures off of the Constitution and then have the Chinese government put their John Hancocks all over the words...

The most frustrating part of all of this is that it was avoidable. But, again, I also think it was inevitable and probably will serve as a catalyst to a brighter future, eventually with less government intervention.. just not in my life time.

I can tell you that 7 billion people are harder to fool then 5 or 6 billion and people are waking up to the BS thats going on behind closed doors.

no im not... im saying we already have something like that even though we dont call it that..standing on the outside it sure could look that way.. there is a fine line and they do get blured.....im not ready for a sickle on my flag.. people who screw up the system with ilegal acts should go to man prison not a country club like we do with white collar crime..

Listen man, sometimes reality is a difficult concept to grasp.

When you say America I think of my family, my friends and my Constitution.

So when we are having a crisis of this magnitude that shakes the core of America and changes America, then YES America is no more. We have become something else for better or for worse.

But how can you sit there and argue that by changing the foundation of a country it doesnt change the country itself?

Nah... it's not that America is becoming something else. It's that "a few" more people are finally seeing what it really is.

Don't worrry, at least 99% are still clueless, so we can still keep the "image of America" another day...

America is the main pioneer of the free-market idealogue. Certainly more so than any other country. Obviously, the beast that is capitalism has evolved over time, through many generations, at its own accord.

However, this "evolution" was aided by the lack of efficient government regalation from the free-marketeers, the Americans, the most powerful nation on earth, the ones who believed in the all-consuming power of the markets.

For a proper healthcare system for all and a more equitable society, with an adequate social security net, you Americans need look no further than to some of the well run countries of Europe for ideas of how to solve many of your country's ills.

there is plenty of money in the u.s. waiting to jump on something like this...remember money is never lost it just changes hands... someone made money just as much as wall street lost.. we could limit ownership to citizens.. but guess what those same people you mentioned can buy u.s. now.. we got a big for sale sign on us now and have for some time now..

I just wish that the people of our great nation, the government, the press...what-have-you would use some of the logic that we as traders use.

You need to question during upswings as well as downswings.

If anyone on this board was up 300 pips, they would not just sit back and say "Well things are wonderful and always will be"..No, we would question it "Why are we up" "How long will it continue" "When will it reverse" and "What can I do to prepare for it"

I know it is an oversimplification, but this country did almost nothing as all these bubbles were blowing themselves up...We waited until after they burst before we decided that something needed to be done. Now we have the politics of fear in action.

The sad thing is that this is always the case...no one worries about the economy when it is doing well, then by the time it isn't doing well it is too late and we get stuck with the radical agenda of an opportunist.

You have valid points dont get me wrong. I'm just saying we have a book in America called "Who moved the cheese" that talks about the difficulties of adjusting to change. Amplify that by the population of the US and you ahve some serious issues.

We are talking about the complete annihilation of the foundation of our Country.

I am free because I am not because "they" let me be... but when they think they are "letting" us be free therein lies a serious problem.

HAHA... That's the most upsetting thing to me. Inviting foreign investors in here is like saying ok China you can move into the master bedroom, and Japan you can have the suite, ohhh.. but America you go sit in that broom closet and don't come out until were done here.

You need a Keynesian approach, counter-cyclical fiscal and taxation policies. A very European idea...

Well its true that there is a failure somewhere. But be assured that this "failure" was an intentional week spot designed to facilitate change. This stuff does not happen by accident it is all by design and has been for centuries.

this part isn't true in the case of asset price deflation like we are seeing now. it is a huge destruction of wealth. the QE measure announced are an attempt to counter some of this "lost" wealth.

we have done this already...hell.... Saudia Arabia owns the white house already..the only problem is now people are starting to become aware that America is controlled by others now that their paycheck is being affected. Other wise..they wouldnt give a shit

Well have faith my friend as I am in this dialogue every day of my life and I see millions of people waking up to this. And when I say waking up I mean they are getting the bigger picture, and then a bigger picture until finally they realize that the only true change comes from within.

We have severed half of who we are as humans and now we are coming full circle to regain that severed half.

I am actually excited to be living in these times. Our generation will be one of ancient history taught in many many many years to come. Its just difficult to see when you are smack dab in the middle of it.

To get perspective spend some time on Luna looking down on Earth and observing what is going on.
