ahhh, another one? na, don't feel like it. however, just trading my indicators since the movement is no where near the trend. this is how i've been trading for the couple days. trendline is still in my direction, but rates are not. i know im not 100% confident, but i believe the risk is worth the reward right now. not too worried, have that 10 lots to lose. if it hits my sl, oh well. again just trading my intuition.

good luck trading to all. again, trade your instincts and your own opinion, and not the opinion of others. going to finish watching the lakers vs celtics game and hit the lounges in sf downtown.

hedging is very simple. think of a hedging contract. you have a futures and a current. lets say for instance if you get into a futures hedging contract, you are guaranteed a rate that you are trading in at the moment. what ever years down the line that the contract agreement was in, that will be the rate given. so regardless of the rate fluctuation and differentiation in the future, you are basically hedging against the risk of default and risk of investment.

[European Preview] US NFP the marquee event today with f/c calling for another big drop of -540K(-524K) with the unemployment rate heading up to 7.5%(7.2%) Mkt players reckon a number below -500K will be positive for Wall St & negative for the USD as risk aversion is likely to retreat.

The [USD/CHF] powered its way from an earlier low of 1.1522 to a two-month high of 1.1720 after breaking clear of sharp resistance at the 1.1650 level. The CHF was knocked lower after SNB Vice-Chairman Philipp Hildebrand said the central bank will not hesitate to use innovative monetary policy measures to fight the current economic crisis. He had also ealier said that they may also resort to unlimited intervention by buying other currencies at a fixed rate. With no Swiss data due today, the US jobs data due later tonight will dictate the pair's direction. Buying orders at 1.1660 by a US name will provide support and selling orders at 1.1760 by a German name will keep the range this session.

The [STG/YEN] has breached the 21-days MA (yesterday at 129.31) and the key 131, and has soared to the 135's for the first time since Jan 19 yesterday. The pair then has adjusted to the sub 133 territory this morning. Although UK financial woe is unlikely to end anytime soon, and UK's top 3 banks' assets are 3 times as large as UK GDP, the market appears to have factored in BOE's rate cut till 0%, and would be watching closely whether Brown has to go beyond his partial bank nationalization in 2008 that gained widespread support (Soros also not willing to go Stg/Dlr short below 1.40). Eur/Stg's 0.88 base gives way. Stg/Dlr's upside key levels are at the 1.49's. The Stg Yen has already moved more than Y10 this week. The topside key levels lie a the 136's and the 139's.

[MOODYS] has just cut [TOYOTA]'s rating to Aa1 from Aaa, with a negative outlook due to the rapid drop in developed market car sales and its profitability outlook. The downgrade on the world's largest automaker risks to take some heat out of the Nikkei, which rallied to close 2.51% higher in the mrg session at 8149.34.

The [AUD/YEN] erases its post RBA policy statement led decline at 58.92/93, and returns to the early morning trading area around 59.30-50. The pair overnight soared to 60.68, and closed slightly above the 21-days MA (59.39, currently down to 59.13), and continued NY close above the line would be a positive factor for the pair. Buy into the dips would be favored for a while unless 57 gives way. The Kijun-sen (61.88) and the Ichimoku cloud bottom (62.45) then would be eyed.

[US STIMULUS BILL UPDATE] Senate Majority Leader Reid has abruptly stopped the debate on the US's $920 bln economic stimulus bill according to news outlets, dashing hopes that a vote on the key fiscal package would have been held later tonight. Work will resume on Friday morning at 10am, with Reid hoping that the Senate will complete the stimulus on Friday.

and what is the purpose of this proposed regulation? To protect the crooks and phuck the little guy? just like the SEC protects Wall Street instead of the investors? Did anybody see the congressional hearings yesterday regarding Madoff on C-Span. If sure appears that the SEC was aware of Madoff's dealings, and chose to ignore it because they were afraid of him and his underworld friends. Completly and totally agree, but i guess market makers won't... That would be taking a lot of ducks from the business. The leverage problem isn't in the forex market, it's in the loaning process at the banks.
