The way I have it most currencies only trade several times per week. So most of them arent trading at any one time. My biggest DD using .05 trades has been 200 dollars and that is because of the Eur/gbp trade. It actually trades double of other currencies so it is like setting it at .10 I am going to change it after this trade is done so my DD would not be much more than 100 dollars.

btw can anyone help with the the code for the EA, im in a trading comp at the moment but its with an ECN feed mt4 so theres issues with market exectutions or something...

I hope you do well, actually the biggest mistake I do with my EAs is I overtrade and hit margin calls. I will get 1-3% a day on my accounts and say man I can do better by increasing the risk. Well, everytime I do that the perfect storm comes and margins me out. So dont make the same mistake stay well within your margin and you will do well. For instance I have one account that has already done 2% today. My first thought is to add a penny or two and increase my profit. But that is wrong thinking, it is what always gets me into trouble. I learn my lessons the hard way.

i did the same thing if i had of been sensible id be laughing atm... i reckon 5% a week is comfortable using Bob's EA's.... i was getting 15% or so and hence it blew up

Yeah it's demo. I need time to familiarize myself with the EA. Would be foolish to jump in live with an EA that has just been released a few weeks ago.
Actually the odds look pretty good that you can repeat over and over again.
There are many cases where the market behaved just like in the past two weeks.
The next thing I want to see is 5000 -> 25000 in the next two weeks if I can keep up with the performance.

Risk and reward goes hand in hand. If u earn a lot, it means u will lose a lot when the time comes. Like nanningbob said, don't margin out urself. The odds are good and u win most of the time becoz that's what a range trading system suppose to do. Many small win and very few big lose. Trend trading is the other way round. Just make sure that when the time comes for u to lose, don't regrade not having enough margin to hold it out (it happened to me before a few times in the past trading with this system)

Basically true but not 1:1. If you earn 20% p.a you can do that with a variety of risks. Otherwise something such as Sharpe Ration would be totally obsolete. So you can optimize the Risk to Reward. You could also make 1% p.a with huge risk.

Has anyone noticed but does it seem the aud/nzd spreads are not as wide lately? or was I lucky when I was watching today.

I've noticed better profits lately so I'd say that spreads have been not as widen as of late. I do see a pretty average spread of 20ish though on ibfx.

Maybe our complaints have been heard at IBFX. The 14 pip spread is much more consistant. Gonna put it back live after JPY open.

Dear Bob!

I think i am lucky guy to found this page and that thread, i am using your syterm 35x20 since a few weeks. I rehearsed so many pairs, my favorite was EUR/USD. the system is working whole day from Monday till friday. Usually i am making a big money, but there is coming a bad moment and my profit is gone....

I noticed it, that is happening if the chart is going up to the green line or down to the green line, i think my saftey zone is between the green lines

what u think, is it a solution, if the system colose all trading after that lines and start agin where the chart is in the safety zone???

and is it feasible

The spread is better when it comes to US session and at it's worst on JPY session. If we can see JPY session remain below 20 spread, it's good

Unfortunately I don't think there is much IBFX can do about it if they want or not.

Just went 32 pips below TP without triggering.
I guess that happend in the last 2 weeks too so I'll just let it run.

Approaching 6000.
Max. DD after IBFX reset my account history (now starts at 4700 (not 1000) which was the beginning of the week) only 4%.

Update: Ok. Now 6100 USD. Allready up 30% this week sofar. 25.000 in the next two weeks looking good.
ROI so far. 510%

Update: 6700 USD: ROI: 570%. DD: 4%
Now it's getting so fast I can hardly keep up with adjusting the lotsize.

Don't trade EUR/USD it rallys 400 pips in somedays.
Remember this is a range trading EA.
