Well, as of the end of friday, he almost had his margin call. Now there is absolutely now way he could have extrapolated his account that much in just two days given the volatility of monday and today. The conclusion is, he is lying to himself... its a shame.

..... Why would I want to login on someone else's account...anyone can put additional funds on their account, but if you really wanted to prove me wrong the you would actually include transaction history, instead of giving someone your account and pass... Besides you have nothing to prove to anyone here, I just know my facts that is all.

Entirely true. If he actually did take 4$ into 485$ in 2 very non-volatile days. It would have been the work of God. On another note, I'm about to take some free Christmas money my parents are giving me, and make an extremely risky trade to start off the new year. However, there's no way I'm doing the same thing on my current account.

maybe this is good advice?

when u have nothing to lose, or a smaller amount, such as 1,000, you may need to risk 5% of your account $50/100, to make the desired amount u wish per day, but when u have more say 1Mil you may be only comfortable risking 1% or .05% of your account per day, 500$/1000$ to make the desired amount of money. as your equity grows, you should be risking less and less and making more and more, or eventually go flat, and make around same amount per day.

Perhaps, it all depends on the level of risk with which you are comfortable. But leveraging to a quarter percent (400:1) is insane, even if you are right 99% of the time, the odds are still against you.

so you made 500$ from nothing.. now don't go back to nothing... it would be a shame for you to make 100k and lose it all. people are just trying teach you risk management.

You may post it here if you like, I will not bother to spend my time checking it. You are trying to rationalize your overleveraging...that is fine, it means that your money will end up in someone else's pockets. I will be on the other end of this exchange.

You could benefit of drawing trend lines to help you make your decisions.
Higher highs + higher lows = most probably up.
Or also, if price has been in a tight range for a while, try straddling pending orders a few pips outside the range, can be safer in case of indecision (see chart below and you'll understand why).

Using too much margin is a double edged sword. It can get you fast profits and take them away as fast as well. And doesn't leave much room to take corrective actions if needed.

If you are scalping (as it would seem), better to use tighter stops (even if only mental ones).
