It looks pretty good to me.. I think the AO is going to turn green the next candle. Where did you put your stop?

edit: I think I'm going to put my stop at the low of today's candle...around 1.1466 for a 282 pip stop.

I made a few trades on this system which I started using about a month ago. After a big hit I decided to start filtering the signals using 150 SMA and only taking trades according to the overall trend.

Trading Record
Second strength long EUR/GBP on 10/8/08 good for +365 pips. My first half was closed out at +365 pips and my stop that was set for breakeven was hit.

Second strength long on 10/14/08 EUR/USD I was stopped out for -373 pips. I blindly followed the rules of the system and took a long signal in a massive downtrend which was against my better judgement.

Second strength long on 10/14/08 CHF/JPY I was stopped out for -330 pips. Again, this long was against the trend and against my better judgement.

After these two losses I decided that I would try to only take first strength trades following the trend due to the economic crisis around the world.

11/03/08 - Long signal for USD/CHF. The 150 SMA was trending up and there was no major resistance so I took the long. I set the stop to the day's low at -282. I'm currently up +111 pips with a first target of 282.

So over a month I took four trades
Long EUR/GBP +362
Long EUR/USD -373
Long CHF/JPY -330
Long USD/CHF +111 (still open, will be +282 if I win)

So right now I am -230 pips over a month of trading.
If I win the USD/CHF that is still open I will be at -59 pips.

Keep in mind this is taking 2 second strength trades that were against the trend and my better judgement. I was impatient and couldn't wait to make trades which is why I took these signals and went long in a massive downtrend. If I had filtered these 2 signals with the 150SMA I would be +362 and +111 for a total of +473 at this time, +644 if I win the open USD/CHF.

I really like the system, but you need to use common sense to filter out the signals and you will be profitable. I'm not sure if blindly following the signals makes you profitable. Could someone clarify this?

I'm interested in this, although I prefer to manually filter my signals it would be nice to have an EA alert me to valid signals.

Thanks for the EA. I have one suggestion. Instead of true/false us 0/1 so it can be run in the opitmization mode.

I have heard a lot of talk on this AshFX, however I have a few questions I’m looking forward for them to be answered in a timely manner. A friend of mine says that he had much better profits using it on 15m time frame, isn’t it supposed to be used on a daily basis?. Is it true it can only be used with FXDD platform? I know they are not registered on the NFA or CTFA

I don't know why you said "in a timely manner". Your not paying for the system. People reply when they get around to it and if they want to.

Note the name of the thread. It is a daily system as originally presented. If your friend has better results on a 15 minute chart you should talk to him and decide on your own how to trade the system. Some people have used it on a 4 hour chart.

The system was originally tested on FXDD. That is the main reason to use FXDD for the signals. The other reason (in my mind) was so we could compare signals in the thread. If you like the system I would suggest running it on 3 MT4 platforms with different server times. Compare the results. Just because Ash originally tested and developed it on FXDD does not necessarly mean that is the best platform for the daily signal.

FXDD's status with the regulators is harder to define. FXDD has a 'pending' status with the NFA. I don't know if they will complete. NFA ID: 0397435 if you want to go to the NFA site and look up the principals. http://www.nfa.futures.org/basicnet/...d=0397435&rn=N

The important thing to remember is that you do not need to trade this system with a FXDD live account. You can use a demo FXDD account to get the daily signals and then use your broker of choice. One that you feel is safe, secure, and fair.

this is a new revision of AshFX Daily EA. Now we have introduced a Spread filter and the possibility to select which type of trade we want: only normal trade, only ss trade or both.

Please, test it and report every bug or modification request.

If anyone have a valid strategy to filter false signal can be implemented in the EA please, let me know and i'll code it.

Thanks for the info, I am just going to test it on my tradeview platform as well as I do it on my FXDD demo account to compare the daily signals, I understand it is a daily system I noticed it as soon as I got into this thread, however as I said and you also said It may be implemented on different time frames, I was just looking for some experiences with it. Regarding the registration on the NFA, is not my first concern right now, indeed I was told they are registered with CTFA which is enough for me.

I haven’t heard anything like that before. I assume it is more useful when you are trading on a short term way. Sounds cool, however I couldn’t figure out how to get it downloaded. I would also like to know about how spread varies depending on the pair, so maybe that’s the point on getting this spread filter.
