Me ? Big player ? LOL no way. Going ECN is only natural after contributing much profits to bucket shops, not that ECNs are preferred over MMs, they are simply too keen to take my position. I trade very short time frames.

I like the fact that retail forex will be growing even more. For Singaporeans and even foreigners do check out the FX platform by DBS. DBSvefx. Spreads are average at best and leverage is low. 1:20, but its enough for me. The only real advantage I see here is that it is Singapore based, execllent safety of funds and world class regulation. Will be trying them out soon.

Anybody used the DBS platform before ? Hows your experience ? Please share. Thx !!

Regards

GrotoT,

IMHO if a broker can operate from Singapore proved that it fulfilled the strict regulations imposed by MAS. Thus, IMHO it is a reliable broker.

I tried the Saxo bank demo a week ago and find that it is not so versatile as MT4 but you can BUY & SELL the same ccy pair at the same time.

BTW I am not a Singaporean but I am looking forward to come down to S'pore to open an account there. You can guess where I am from !

MF charge 1 pip per round trip, 25k to open account. if u can do a certain volume u can get discount or rebate. but dun bank on ECN to give better spreads, while that is true most of the time, it has not been the case, in fact bucketshops has been the cheaper alternative lately. margin is 1:20

Sounded like a good idea! because people still sign up for those course even though they know that if gurus are that good they wont really need to start a course to teach ppl how to earn money in forex...

Saxo is quite a reliable broker in singapore. Their spread is avg 3 pips for most of the major spread. I have a live account with them and the only thing is they do not have MT4 platform. Anyway all brokers in singapore are quite reliable as MAS is a tough nut to crack and i believe no broker dare to play a fool with MAS. We still have MFGlobal , cmc market and recently DBSVicker also support forex trading. You can take a look at DBS Vicker and let me know if it is good cos it seem good.. I believed that all their minimum account opening deposit is 3k but for DBSVicker is 5k..

Hope that helps..
