It enters a trade when the underlying code tells it to. Those buttons only turn EAs on and off.

Hi Ron,
OK I tried running the modified EA in visual backtest.
As the first trade is entered, the 'upper range' and 'lower range' display their parameters and the 'range' shows the difference.
For some reason the line 'range size' keeps showing Less.
The 'range' line then changes as the range changes but actually shows a negative figure if price falls lower than the 'lower range'.
So sometimes after the box has closed you will get a range total of -56 pips or whatever.
I think this is where the problem lies.

Range is calculated by taking the upper price and subtracting the lower price.... it's impossible for there to be negative.

The main reason why that could be happening is when all variables are set to 0 while the EA tries to determine the new range...

Hello RR: Here is snapshot of chart with ea attached. Question is on the upper and lower range and entry price. Seems to be off by 2000 pips as of this post.

Ron, trust me the EA is set up correctly.
I have optimised the TP, SL etc.
I have watched the readout closely. As you say, before the trade box the range etc. shows zero.
But when a trade is opened the range does not act correctly. It may show a positive at first but then may move into a negative figure.
Check it out for yourself on visual backtest.

I did, and the lowest that the range went was 0...

Do you have the latest EA?

hi can anyone tell me which indicator is the most newbie friendly ?

i have downloaded indicators+ templete from DZ (thread starter), sonic, and mr bull.

i have already had them installed in my mt4, and they are running well, but i can't set them(the parameters in those indicators) properly. can anyone tell me how to do it?

for antGUBreakout indicators, what should i put in the "start" and "end" parameters if my "broker gmt shift" is +3 (FXDD)
should i leave it as 14:00 and 16:00?

I know it's not possible BUT when I look at the range on several pairs I see negative numbers. Please take a look at some pairs OR is it only supposed to be for EU? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong.

Also, I live in NY, what time should I use for Range Start & Range Close? 11:00 - 13:00???

Anyone using MIG FX? I know its asked a lot on this thread, but I think my GMT time for this system is set to 13:00-15:00, and then I trade starting at 15:15. Is this correct?

Right now Cad - BUT it seems to fluctuate was -39 now 0 - not static which it should be if I understand what's supposed to happen.

Sorry Ronnie but your EA is also placing trades wrongly (but this may be due to the range bug).
It gave me a sell on Cable today at 1.7422 when the range went down to 1.7405 on the previous candle.

I have been using a demo BUT I lost $3,600 on several different pairs!!! There is definately a problem!

Look, if there are errors, post screenshots.

I'm trying to recreate each error so I can figure out what's going on.
