I think some orderly short covering is in order. The gap had to be played, but over all there could be a trend change in the works. Just off teh cuff I haven't been watching too closely the past few months, but I think the Retracement from the highs is pretty much over. When TV shows start hyping the dollar long it's likely over.

there is these very ugly hammar in the 1 hr chart.i think its now safe to go longs.i told you guys i was going to talk to my friends(tritchet and bernanke)lol

heres a question for the "pros". how long does a downtrend/uptrend usually last in terms of days/weeks on the eur/usd?

I went long @ 1.4210. Hope It will work for me. I think that we can go over .4300 today.

the last few weeks defied any ~ numbers , so trying to say how much a up/down lasts is like peeing against the wind.

Seems a little uncertain around current levels, patience may prevail the long seeking a trend reversal. Just a guess though.

I think all the talks are nothing but guessing now. Wait until NY opens, then it will be clearer.

NY usually jerks this one around pretty bad

Psiholog, click on the various timeframes in your trading platform. I clicked on W1 and MN and saw some interesting stuff:
7/6/2008 - Present - Down
11/13/05 - 7/6/08 - Up
12/26/04 - 11/13/05 Down
1/7/01 - 12/26/04 Up

There are lots of smaller trends inside larger ones, but this is a good place to start, I think.

thanks for the tip..will have to do sometime...considering its 4:30am here ill stick to what i see now.
possible retracement to 1.4320 if 1.4235 gets broken....possible 1.4400+ if 1.4320 gets broken OR new low to 0.0000 if 1.4200 gets broken

Decided to lock in gains...wait to see how things go...8.3% is good for start of week.

I just got back into forex I need to do a little more analysis to see what the big picture looks like. The key will be to not over analyze and remember to stay nimble.
