Justin two quick questions. firstly on the fx board there is a
bullit pin, what is its function?
Secondly how do i go about getting remote trader, so I can trade from differnt pc or mobiles?

hi all,

is the following from the release notes for the new Navigator Version 11.1.0.2 where a "time & sales" window was added?

Market Depth

  1. Added bid/ask/trade filtering to ticker.


I never noticed this before when connecting through ninja trader

I notice a price, size, and (B) or (A) which I assume is bid/ask

this release note entry suggests to me that the time & sales existed but the
(B) or (A) did not. can someone help me understand?

The pushpin locks in your current settings. For instance, if your default settings through preferences are 10 lots and market order....you know every time you select a different currency pair, your defaults will appear. If you change the settings manual, say 5 lots and limit and then click the pin, it will lock those settings while you switch between pairs.

With regards to Remote Trader:

As an MB customer, you can currently log into Remote Trader from the Efxgroup.com website. However, Remote Trader is going to be a third-party application handled by the company that created it, likely starting in August. Expect to see some big upgrades to the platform, but you will need to place your account under their IB to use it from that point going forward. I'll get you more details on that as we get closer.

Thanks Justin the pin is Brilliant!

I have often when switching from charts back to platform
entered a wrong lot simply because it defaults to current
positions open, with the "pin" it elliminates this error!!

Look forward to Navigator updates

Thanks and must say its good to have easy access to
someone knowlegable re platform on simple problems/questions.

for some reason my (very modest) balance isn't showing at all . It is all zeros. This is happening on the old and new version. This does NOT happen when conecting through Ninja Trader. Strange, I have a support ticket in.

do not know bro when i start using new version of MBT navigator can`t trade at all when i switch to old one everything is ok ... do not know what`s going on ........

If anyone is interested MB Trading chat confirmed that the "time & sales" is a new feature and the release notes will be changed---they were not accurate

I logged onto my demo account to place a paper trade and it says I don't have forex permissions? Whats the deal?

I was just playing with Remote Trader placing 1-2 lot trades in live account. Shorted 2 lots GBP/JPY @213.60 with 213.50 TP Limit order. I was moving TP order up and down while the position was open. At some point I was filled on 1 lot of the TP order. At that point I should have outstanding buy 1 lot @ 213.50 and position size would be short 1 lot from 213.60. BUT, RemoteTrader was showing that I was still short 2 lots from 213.60. I cancelled existing TP order and placed another one by clicking on the position and choosing "Management Trade" (or something like that) and it defaulted to 2 lots and the order was placed to cover the position @ 213.50. This order was filled and now I was long 1 lot @ 213.50. I started to suspect some funny business with it so I logged into my account via web just to see what I was suspecting, I was reversed on the second TP order and was net long with 1 lot. I had to call in to the trade desk and verified that I was in fact long 1 lot and so I closed it @ 213.35.
I'm not complaining about the loss of couple of dollars, but rather would like to bring this up to traders' attention who may be relying on RemoteTrader. As the site says: THIS IS BETA .

P.S. I didn't have access to the Navigator at the time.

I followed the hype for months from (tradesite Chris) Chris Mercer about the remote trader, and how it is going to replace sliced bread. I have tried using it in its present form, and even with Chris's help the remote platform will not even recognize the fact that I have wide screens and resolutions. The numbers in the boxes stretch out from the boundrys of the different boxes.Hoping it will be resolved in future.

hello, I've updated the navigator today (i got the e-mail notice) and I do not have a connection to the trading server I have a second computer with the old navigator - the same is happening. i do not understand why. the demo works (!)

I see as if the navigator tried to default to "nasdaq", but I have only a forex account. I've tried changing it to "forex" but after accepting the changes - it gets back to the nasdaq. is it some standard problem? I see that some people have had problems with the platform in the past couple of days.

How to remedy this? I've tried numerous times, and it just shows "no accounts" on for example "positions".

It is very strange. The "system status" on the mbt website states "all systems ok". there were a couple glithes but they were away in a couple of minutes. Unfortunately its midnight in the US, so I'm posting here, maybe somebody will know something before the tech support wakes up

MB trading is down again. This is the 3rd Friday morning EDT that they are down with no warning. EFXgroup website down as well as the MBtrading.com.
If it is maintenance fine, but customers need to be notified.

yeah, and their system on the website shows that "all systems are OK". they are definetely not OK :/ but i wonder if it is not a problem with the new navigator - THE DEMO WORKS FINE, connects, etc. or an accounting datebase problem? unfortunately I think that there won't be no info before the breakfast hours in the states :/

There is definitely something wrong with this new release. I downloaded it about three hours ago, and it has shut down on me five times in that time period. Prior to this new version I haven't had any problems whatsoever. Hope somebody at MB is on top of this. Forcing everyone to upgrade to an unstable version will be problematic at the very least...
