As for the EUR, looks like it failed to break through the 1.xx65 level - a sigbificant number every hundred pips... If 1.5538 (weekly mid-pivot) and 1.5533 (daily mid-pivot) stop providing support we might see a visit towards 1.55 area

Ducati I was actually looking at an upside down head and shoulders but this one will do to I guess.. I still believe only above 56 is a clear long signal.

None taken Actually I'll admit it I guess - there are people who like forums and posting on them and those who don't, I guess I'm the first kind Mostly I just post my observations and thoughts on the pa, such info sharing can be usefull - like noticing a price pattern earlier for example. Occasionaly it can also help guesstimate where price is headed but certainly no one really knows where it'll end up. As such, a forum is a great place to see others' perspectives.

Your right. And .5600 will be tough to crack. Looks like it's getting close though. I think it will get rejected a few times and maybe we will see a deeper pull back as everyone waits for the US sales data out tomorrow morning. But then again this thing has been on a mission since it bounced of the .5350-60 level so who knows.
Looking at the U/J right now as a better play right now because it's breaking down on the 10min.

I guess nobody is interested in euro. All made too much money and closed down the shop. Or people feel the pair is not moving fast enough to generate excitement.

Agree, not enough momentum in the EUR/USD right now. Will get a lot livelier in a few hours, though...
Still, I expect it to briefly touch today's daily pivot @ 1.5495 (or 4-5 pips short of it). It calls for some range scalping

It's consolodated and finding support on top of the trend line from 4/28.

Bernanke will speak before US open today. It seems to me that every time Bernanke opens his mouth, the dollar goes down. Do you guys think he will have the same effect this time? Then there will be retails sales number to top things off.

If it touches the daily pivot of 1.5495, where do you think it will go from there? There is no European news today to help or hurt the pair.

That's hard to tell right now... Most likely it will range between the daily pivot (1.5495) and daily central (1.5552) without touching either one until the morning news.

The US retail sales number is expected to be bad due to slow auto and appliance sales because of high gas prices and energy cost. So that number probably will help eurusd decide to go north?

Speculation in the northern direction will probably start before the news...
I don't expect any positive surprises in the news - the stimulus checks won't play until next month. Even the funny arithmetics with counting retail gazoline sales won't cure the total number.
However, recent EUR rebound might have priced the news in already.

Looks like a nice flag to me. Pole's length is 131 pips. Today's range so far is 45.5 pips with an average daily range of 120....just broke the upper band and i`m expecting for a pullback and go long. your comments guys ?

Just painted a double bottom on the 10min chart and breaking .5550 bouncing off the daily trendline. Here we go to .5600.

Looks like it could bounce north from the 1.5550. Buy stop @ 1.5570. Someone add any sensible swing highs to conquer for today. I guess stop loss right beneath the 123 formation on the 1h chart @ 1.5505.

1st edit: price attacking 1.5505 and i guess London open takes off to 1.6115. 28 pips downside, 49 upside for a 1.5 risk/reward. Also 1.5572 would take yesterday's high as a nice confirmation.
