Bit quiet at the moment after the initial flurry. so far retraced to the 15 min swing 23.6, PA is saying holding at this level.. So waiting for confirmation of another upwards leg...

G/J possibly stalled on the way up because U/J couldn't break past the strong resistance levels in the 102.60s. Futures and markets up for the evening.

It seems that there is a bullish consensus on the GBPJPY. However, if you look at the mirror image attached it clearly shows, as of 22:00 PDT, we have a small upmove perhaps followed by a prolonged down move.

I am not saying that the overall trend is bearish, but it wouldn't surprise me if Monday happens to be a down day.

These mirror images, if drawn correctly, are very accurate.

Time will tell...

The usdjpy and gbpjpy charts are EXACTLY the same tonight on the 5 min. The uj might give direction of gj

Good Morning all

Earnings season kicks off today , the Microsoft / Yahoo deal is back on the table, Washington Mutual is getting a 5 billion private equity deal. All may be taken as good news for the markets

GJ is stuck in a very tight range right now204,2 to 203.6. One could trade the range , however i am going to wait for a breakout one way or the other . Right now i think tat breakout will be to the upside with an upper target of 205 or higher

Malcom, I see the YM has been in a dn trend for the last couple of hrs. Would you see this as a bearish sign even with the dow fut up and good news for the 5bln infusion?? Could Fx head oposite of DOW this morning??

YM is not in a downtrend ... channel 12680 to 12700

12660 has been a strong support zone.

3 min chart says YM might break to the upside ... there is R at 12750

Over all a up trend but I was just refering to the last 2 hrs. It seemed odd to head dn a little with the current news and DOW futures?? Still learning the YM. Not disagreing with you at ALL!

OK, this is weird. Refresh of YM chart denotes up last 15 minutes.?? Laptop locked up twice this morning. Also lost my fib lines on 3 pairs? Must be Monday.

Monday's are not my favorite trading day...

But as long as price remains above the 4h 200ema, which is also the 1h 50ema currently, I feel ok about my long trade.

The trendline from 213.50 is holder this down.

203.75 is 50% of Friday's down move...

I would like to see GU break its weekly pivot at 1.9904 to help with my GJ long.

seems like UJ is consolidating in order to gather steam to get up to its trendline around 103.80 area.
