this happened last week. i had a long position of EUR/USD. i placed a limit sell order. but we the price was reached, my order did not get filled. i tried to cancel, or modify the sell order but i couldn't. as a result, i could not exit the long position or do anything. after ensuring this was not an internet connection problem, i called the trading help desk. they canceled that limit order.
there was no indication that the limit order was not good. the order book showed the order was "live" the whole time. as a result i lost some money. i called them and asked whether they could refund my loss, the gentleman said they are working on it and the person in charge of this was not in office. it has been almost a week since that incident, and i'm still waiting for an answer.
in my opinion, i should get a refund but i have never encountered simliar problems before. has anyone ever faced similar problems? will i be able to get a refund?
