I wish I could take credit for the following quote, but someone else in FF uses it for their signature:

"Trading well means you either walk away with more money or you walk away with more information to profit next time."

Great attitude for newbies or anyone else trading, be it forex, commodities, equities, paper....

Ive been known to argue on here from time to time, so I'll try to keep myself under control. In this situation, I just don't see how "you have to have it to give it" relates to "walking away with more information". To me, its just arrogance, but like I said, I don't mean to be argumentative.

The daily trendline has been broken on the Euro. This line has been in effect since October. We may see a further move South if I drew the thing properly.

It's a matter of attitude.

Some people see that as a "loss"; I see it as a "Learning Opportunity See Success". In other words it's an acronym. I choose to always see success. I either successfully secured additional money by applying information gained in the past or I successfully secured additional information to get more money in the future. Every trader should get information (knowledge) from every experience then apply it for next time (wisdom). Wisdom is simply applied knowledge, whereas fools hate correction. Because if you didn't learn, then you are bound to repeat the same error, ad infinitum. And believe me, life will give you many opportunities to learn whatever lesson is relevant, until you get it. Get it?

if we were all perfect, we would always win in every trade. that would be nice, but since we are imperfect, we will lose. all we have to do is look at our losses and wins and see what caused them, adjust our strategies a little which will limit our losses and increase our wins. sounds like b.s., but the richest people in this country failed many times before they made it big. perserverence is key, as well as maybe getting a mole or two in the big boys heads and see what they are going to do and follow!! it may mean riding coat tails, but hey, if it makes me a multi-millionaire, who cares, right??? look at the eagles, counted out from the playoffs, they now own the east because they got together, played harder, stopped the run better each week and beat 3 teams on the road they weren't givin a shot to a month ago. there is info out there, we just need to find it, use it and all benefit, retire in 5 years to our own little spot in the world where we can live the life of reilly and indulge in our piece of the pie!!!!!!

First, you posted isn't it great to give back to the community? I responded yes, as I believe it's more blessed to give than to receive. The quote "ya gotta have it to give it" related to being blessed. In other words it's more blessed to give than to receive because you have to have it in the first place in order to give it. You have to be blessed with something in order to be in position to give it away. That's why it's more blessed to give than to receive.

For some reason, you associated my statement about "having it to give it" to the different and disparate thought of retaining and applying information.

My apologies if my thoughts were too disjointed, abstract, obtuse or obfuscated.

well, i was nervous until they made it 23-7 in the fourth. i still remembered the giants game when they gave up a 3 touchdown lead in the fourth!! i was wondering when t.o. would spit on someone, he was heading that way since he joined the eagles. such a waste of talent. if he would have shut his face and played, he would be as great as jerry rice, he is that good!! oh well, his loss.

now all we have to do is figure which way this market will go. do you think that there will be movement when the european market opens?? i wish i had sat by my computer yesterday around 4:30 est, i could have made 150 pips in 10 min when it dropped from 19755. blink and you miss!! what was that about??? i know it won't do that tonight, but i am sure there will be movement getting ready for the first week of jan. if i saw correctly on the one post that there were 2 200+pip moves int the first week of jan. that is money with the move and the retrace. one heck of a week in anyones book. the only question is where the move will go, up or down??? any clues or should i just watch and jump on the roller coaster when it leaves the platform??
