2 Trades today, both 20, 50 and 100 PIP targets were reached on each.

Hi guys.

Nofx, maybe you can help me with this. So back to my question on trading this system intraday. Yesterday, we had the big cross down on the gy signalling a Short. Put let's say after taking partial profits, the rest of our position was stopped out. So, now today 10-17-7, we would be looking to re-enter. This is where I get confused.

I've attached two charts from today. One being the 4HR and the other being the 60M. (Pardon the indicators, but I like to use them.) So, now looking at the 60M time frame I see price has pulled back to the 25ema. It did not break the ema, and then a new candle opens below the 25, and I can use this as a signal to re-enter a short. Is this correct?

(Nofx is this making more sense? I am confused as how to begin the trading day after the first position of a 50 ema cross over has closed.)

Hi Lemmon,

For the first picture, the initial reentry would be risky considering that 25 is not yet tested, but the second one is definately valid and from what i can see the price has developed nicely in the bearish direction from that today.

You are ok man - your question makes sense. Unfortunately I am not able to answer the re-entry thing on this trade as I do not do re-enter on trades of this nature. I take the first signal on the 5min based off the stoch and rsi from the 4hr and if that doesn't go my way I just go back to the longer time frames and wait for another signal. Effi would be better able to help you with re entry on the lower time frame. I do not use the one hr chart with this system at all. I primarily trade the daily and 4hr. I only use the 5min when an opportunity presents itself. I know this may not be exactly what you are looking for but it is the best I can do based on personal experience.

Effi, can you explain me two things?

For entry LONG: do we have to wait 25EMA above 50EMA or we can enter even if 25 is below 50?
If we have a new entry signal in the opposite direction we have to take it or we have to wait eventually SL hitting.

We have a lot of tight range consolidation right now, so i recommend taking profits at Intraday T1 to T3.

Hello Effi! How did this trade end after all? It's seems the price went the other way... How did you manage it?

It pulled back about 36 Pips, SL did not hit, then moved 30 Pips in our direction.

I am taking small profits in a very tight range, so i'm closing most out at 10 to 50 at the moment.

If you look on H4 you will notice we are still ranging between 238.80 and 236.60, until we have a break from this range i won't consider taking large profits.

10 to 50 pips a day on an H1 and H4 ranging pair several times a day keeps me pretty happy until we break out and can start looking for Swing Profit taking.

I can't complain cuz the last few trades were pretty large at over 100 Pips each, so i prefer to keep it safe and scalp in the range until we're trending again.

We're back down in the 20 Range so if you're scalping do your thing.

This trade should hit at least T5 again.

We will be reaching 100 Pips soon on the last short.

You can take full profit. Move your SL to B/E or lock in 50%, its up to you.

Make sure you have present targets every time you enter a trade, when you hit them, lock them and trail.
