EU is flashing 1550 on my chart. Just a matter of time. From 1.17 to 1.18 is all resistance that shoot price down.

hmmm...
Daily timeframe shows 2 bearish candles, which means it might go down again, but tommorow we still have extreme news... Kinda weird seeing that this week gold is still moving in compounding mode and not regularly

Not for this week...
That price is for the week...
And i talk about EU because it gives me the strength of USD at specific times as confluence to Gold.
It have no sense like today, EU breaking hard an 1h range with such expansion and see people here talking about 750.
The same happen two days before, EU reversing 1h before at Asia and people with fomo of buying after monday close...
Is just a simple pair that last couple of months i had notice this kind of correlation and had it to my confluences...

yes that is what iam expecting and feeling too
this entire move today
as per my analysis far is not as it seems
i still have liquidity resting above
althoughh their was 4h imbalance i had in mind it will get respected

So, during Iran war, Gold is not behaving as a classic safe haven, not anymore due to oil factor. It is mostly related to oil and cash needs of big players nowadays. End of war will be Gold bullish most likely because of relief in oil prices, inflation expectations and liquidity problems (cash needs). If Iran war escalates and spread to the region, that would be Gold bearish or chaotic range. There can be even panic sells depends on cash needs of big players.

Understanding fundamentals are very important as well as technical analysis. But, it is more complicated and tricky than technicals in most cases because too many changing variables.

I wanted to write this in detail because I see from many different posts in this thread that many people are still expecting that Gold will be dropping if tension decreases and peace comes. But, actually when you just look at last couple of weeks' Gold big rises, you would see that almost all were because of big news suggesting relief/peace/ceasefire at Iran war.

Nothing is certain (all we do is trying to understand what is going on and what can happen next) and fundamentals may play itself delayed (after some bear/bull traps, range), but different gold behaviour during Iran war is quite observable imho.

Exactly this!

People are overestimating the sell potential. Take a look at gold last year Q4 it was on a massive bull run.

Even now gold is fighting 4700 again with consolidation happening.

I think we should remember gold is a limited resource.

Price is no longer cleanly bullish. It is forming a descending triangle / bearish compression pattern. The white trendline shows lower highs, while the red horizontal support near 4650.94 is the major floor. That means sellers are gradually pressing price lower, but the full breakdown has not happened yet.
The current price around 4698–4704 is sitting near the descending trendline resistance, so this is a decision area. The sell signal around 4691.81 already hit TP1, which tells us sellers are active, but price is still chopping above the major support.
Key levels
Resistance: 4704–4712, then 4724–4745.
Major invalidation for shorts: above 4745, and especially above 4767.
Support: 4684, then 4664, then 4650.94.
Breakdown targets below 4650: 4636, 4623, then 4602.
Best trade idea
I would not buy this yet. The cleaner setup is still sell the rally while price remains under the descending trendline.
Sell setup:
Entry: 4704–4712 if price rejects the trendline.
Stop loss: 4725 for tighter risk, or 4746 for safer structure.
TP1: 4684.
TP2: 4664.
TP3: 4650.94.
Breakdown setup:
If H1 closes below 4650.94, sell the retest of 4650 from underneath.
Targets: 4636, 4623, 4602.
Invalidation
If H1 closes above 4724 and holds, the short becomes weaker.
If H1 reclaims 4745–4767, the bearish triangle is likely failing and the chart can rotate bullish again.
Forum-style paragraph
XAUUSD H1 is now forming a descending triangle / bearish compression pattern. Price is making lower highs under the descending trendline while holding above major support at 4650.94. The previous bullish continuation failed to break higher, and the recent sell signal already reached TP1, showing sellers are active. I am watching 4704–4712 for a rejection short, targeting 4684, 4664, and 4650. A clean H1 break below 4650 would confirm bearish continuation toward 4636, 4623, and 4602. A sustained close above 4724 weakens the setup, while a reclaim above 4745–4767 invalidates the bearish structure.
