Disliked{quote} //----- below are a couple of well known and in the lime light full algo traders....... at least one of them seems to never cease mentioning it....... notice their open strategy attributes..... if it was much worse it would be negative....... odds are yours is better....... but they both do very well, far better than any of us...... i'm 100% manual...... my opening attribute is around 4 , too low..... my closing is above 9 which is confusing because i feel it's far...Ignored
I don't even look at those numbers. A few times I have and my reaction has been 'are you kidding me?' And the none religious version of that is 'FU Darwinex'.
Over all Darwinex produced stats are meaningless to me. Wouldn't miss any of it if they took it all down.
I am not a manual trader and I don't take directions from formulas on how to trade.
I rely on backtests, forward tests, observations, experience and how the flow in the market interacts with my trading method.
Think of it as a boat floating on the sea. With each wave and ripple it bops up and down and that motion varies with the severity of the winds.
My aim is to float and survive the worst.
I'm not going to be looking at the numbers that my moves generate and try to steer according to them. Not a manual driver here.
You are very numbers and formula focused as the screenshots of your indicators show. You look for numbers to set you straight.
I look at your pages and pages of numbers that your indicators generate and I think the way you thought of Hubbard's book.
Anyways, best trading advise I ever got was this: Keep doing what works and stop doing what doesn't. That is what guids my trading and I'm sticking with it.
