EA results on 03.04. What I changed in the settings the day before: I increased the partial close from 50 to 70 and chose the Breakeven+partial close option.

Please take a look at this pic of MT5 version of the Multi method. I do not think the lockout logic always is working correctly.

Hmm, I might be wrong, but do you have the input for "Only One ATR Zone Lockout at a Time" turned on? I would assume that's why there wasn't a sell lockout.

So:
For 1: The lockout was indeed started since no trade was taken (though as seen before, it appears the ATR Zone shading is not going all the way back to the start of the lockout (this could be verified in the expert's tab where it tells you the duration of the lockout)).

For 2: Because that candle ended up crossing the midline like that, the EA ends up ignoring that trade/dot, so that doesn't end the lockout (this was derived from the fact we don't take trades like that).

For 3: A SELL lockout SHOULD start but isn't because I think you have that Singular Zone input on, but I might be wrong.

For 4: Indeed, those trades would be locked out if there was a lockout to begin with.

For 5: The EA uses the close of the dot candle, so in reality that candle closes inside the recurring lockout zone, which means it's not taken.

Am I wrong in any of this?

Additionally I already had lockout time to 1 hour and amount of trades to lockout @3

Yes I believe it is a Jurik based indicator. You can show the lines in the inputs.

Hi Chris, I really like your strategy. It’s very simple, and simplicity means it’s more robust. However, after my testing, I don’t think this is an excellent EA—at least not a good xau EA. As you know, gold is a market that has been trending upward in the long term. It might work better for forex or other instruments. Below are my test results for this year’s market conditions.
