Been lurking on this thread for a while and tried the CICR approach on a small live account. Couple of observations and a question for the community.
What I found is that the strongest vs weakest pairing logic gives you the directional bias reliably, but the timing of the entry is where most of my losers came from. The currency that's strongest today often started its move several sessions ago, and by the time the strength reading is clear enough to commit, the pair is already near a local exhaustion. The opposite happens on the weak side. Lost 4 trades in a row on EURJPY in February before I figured out what was going on.
My workaround was to use the CICR signal as a directional filter only, then wait for a pullback into a defined entry zone (50 fib of the recent leg or a previous swing high/low) before triggering. The accuracy improvement was real but it costs you a few setups that never give back enough to actually enter.
Two questions for capito or anyone running CICR seriously. Do you take the signal immediately when both currencies show their respective extreme readings, or do you layer a timing rule on top of the directional bias? And how do you handle the cases where the strong currency is in a clear downtrend on the higher timeframe, meaning temporary strength inside a longer weakness?
Refreshing simplicity in this thread compared to most methodology threads on this forum. The MACD + RSI(3) + filter line combo is clean.

Lets take this simple example currently UK session GBP is strong USD is strong and yen is weak. So I would look for trades in this pair as long the ATR for day is acceptable. Any oscillator or moving average crossover can do the job. As long as the strength and weakness holds. Any good mtf currency strength tool should be able to assist you.
