That happens to all of us at some point.
Reading the move correctly but not executing is still part of the process. Fear usually fades with screen time and repetition, not force.
You protected your capital, and that's never the wrong decision. There will always be another setup. Missing one trade doesn't define anything in the long run.

my issue is that I am somehow scared entering perfect trades, but somehow enter at shit trades normally. Sounds like I will have to do some intensive work on entries this weekend...

I wouldn't buy actually rn, not in the near minutes, price just broke downward structure, so the fear is quite justified, had it too : )

FINALLY got my order filled at 1.18845

Admittedly I got worried that price wasn't going to reach it so I took a long pre-emptively.

If you've backtested your strategy, you must implement it. If you're afraid, you'll skew your backtest statistics and make your profits erratic.

to be fair, I've backtested it very little, only for the small amount to the point where I have essentially been live demo trading it for a month and a half....
but it's only been this past week and a half that for some reason I just can't put my head down, and even the few perfect A+ entries, I closed them out of fear...

reduce lot size if it’s scary.
I have been trading for 8 years now, i now dont fear any entry. I know my risk, if the trade hits my stop loss it’s not personal. I used to try and win back my losses which would just compound into more losses. Place your position, close your charts and wait…

I’ve closed my short at 1.1881 for +62 pips, as downside momentum seems to be fading. If the 1.1900–1.1880 zone holds on an hourly basis and price manages to close the day above 1.1900, a short-term long scalp could be in play.

Update: Price did reach the 1.1875 target after all. Now we need to see whether it can hold above 1.1880 on an hourly close which I expect it will.
