Playing around with indicators on a sunday afternoon and some interesting things pop up. From a Technical standpoint,

Gold could dump same length as previous W1 bar. History could (likely) repeat itself here:
Screenshot 1 - macd, Price and ema. (H12). Current Price distance from ema compared to previous.
Screenshot 2 - ADX, Price and Bollinger bands. (W1). Price could snap back after the thrust. MN1 bar already exceeded 2xATR. Also sign of a divergence.
Screenshot 3 - XAU/USD PA. (W1). Dollar could find temporary support after the massive hit last week.
We see if targets i.e. 5012 - 5042 (previous post on gold) actually got hit. If so then price could snap down to 4880 & then 4700* levels in the week as the month of January draws to an end. Till then as I wait & watch PA unfold and brace for opportunities from likely scenarios with Fundamentals NOT left out!

See if we can get to 5088 from another data source as a target.

As mentioned earlier , it is most likely the month of February will set the tone for Yen recovery after revisiting all time lows of July 2024 evident of Friday's volatility. As such a reversal or strong pullback is imminent. MN1 bar likely to close with a Pin bar Doji.

I don't expect this week to produce any significant move (400-500pips) as it had on Friday and Yesterday maybe some sideways movt. & pullbacks for other currencies. But Yen is in for some strength Q1 2026.
Till then as I watch PA unfold and with Fundamentals esp BOJ statements as indicators (I "think" this time they will count).

Oh lawd, that was an outburst.

Gathered momentum to blast through resistance.

The initial trade idea and plan was intact but had to play mind games for several hours before the continuing in the right direction.

MACD making lower low, price higher low.

Possibly longer term and broader picture (Range) pair looks set for 1.4200 and possibly will be looking out for entries on pullbacks.
