Thank you for your answer. I do try to do exactly as you said, but sometimes when you see it it's already too late...
And I know that no indicator will give this answer for you, but I was thinking if someone in this thread had thought about it and came with something good...

the RSO is based on the Stochastics

the Stochastics is a technical study of the Price and work as an oscillator.

what does a price oscillator tells us about the market type conditions ?

When you can read the Price and its oscillator, you will know what to trade and when to trade.

Remember RH started this thread based on @eelfranz' Trading Made Simple aka TMS

TMS is based on the 5-Method.

start reading this thread from the post i linked, he clearly explains how he avoids choppy markets with the RSO, although it's easier for him since he trades stocks so his options are far more better than the limited forex.

What @RobinHood has is his 40+ years trading the markets plus his system development knowledge and experience. These are what most traders here do not have.

Trading the stock market is different from what retail forex traders here are trying to learn.

Both Trading Made Simple and Trading Made Simpler have the same thing in common i.e. the 5-Method.

May I ask you a question - Since I am in the EU and I prefer London morning session, what would you suggest to trade?
As you can see this is MT4 with custom 3m TF and SP500 & GER40. I know this is different from your setup but I am already familiar with MT4, I can code for it and would prefer to use it, if possible.

One sentence is stuck in my mind from your post 10756:

Otherwise, I day trade the SPY every day and I tend to get about 1-4 trades each day, trading it the way that I do.
I like day trading the 2 min. time frame the best, while simultaneously watching the 5 and 15 min. charts. And, most often, I only day trade the market for the first 2.5 hours (NYSE Open - 9:30 to 12:00 EST) .

And this makes a difference as I only can trade no more that 2-3 hours per day, I would like to focus on one thing and master it, and since you can find 3-4 good trades in 2.5 hours daily then I should be able to find at least 1 or 2 and this is what I believe is a good start, at least for me.

Nothing special, just add RHO, RSO, and smTMMS with default settings and you are all set up.

P.S. I know this is a dumb setup but it is a good start for learning purposes - it is better to master what you know instead of learning new things all the time,
There is no SPY on MT4 but there is SP500 CDF witch is close enough. There is not 2M chart but there is Periodic converter so you actually can try to emulate what RH is doing to better understand the strategy and what do indicators say.

May I ask you for the source of RSO MTF indicator?
I would like to combine it with the ssTMMS signals to have an alert when there is an arrow plus RSO like on the image attached as this is a valid signal:

Blue line is below 20, ideally going down, the orange line crosses 50 from the top, ideally with down trend.

If we can do it along with the ssTMMS arrows we can have good signal indicator so no need to watch the screen all the time.

Let me know if you are open to develop this, if possible. Regards

I Really Like This System but I Only Trade On The 4 Chart. These Are My Trades For Today. What Do U Think? Ignore The Order on the Other Chart. The First ist USDCAD And The Second EURUSD.

i tried to add more stochastics or rsi with invisible line color, just for the levels, but my mt5 platform doesn't add them.

i think it's doable but you'll need to know basic code to directly edit your template file and add more stochastics or rsi, but hide the lines from the indicators and only keep the levels with the colors you want.

In addition to Rh's fantastic RSO, I also recommend always using four Heiken Ashi Arrows TFs. First, I put it on a 5m TF and compare it with H1 (for the indices, otherwise I use M5 and H4). If everything is red or green, I move on to check the RSO on these TFs and, if everything indicates a certain direction, it should be taken.
Try it to believe it
