ytd i went short and lose back profit and red -70 pips.
wasnt expect gold pushing this hard,
Then this is the trade for today.
i not trade much same bfr.
only some area that got more interest then try.

guys back test the following, or any method that suits you when not a trading day.
everyday there is something. only thing is your patience to wait.

traders often have problems with trend and entry level.
the solution is 200ema (for those who need an indicator), trade during market session, riverbank pattern.

1. trend - up when price above 200ema
2. market session - trading period
3. riverbank pattern - m5/m15 for trade entry
a. liquidity sweep
b. break of structure (very important for containing fomo)
c. pullback to engulf

finding a method that suits your personality is only the first part, the tip of the iceberg, only the beginning of successful trading.
the rest of it, the real work is spending years psychologically getting rid of bad habits and building up confidence that it will work more than 70% of the time.

do you know that time frame does not matter?
you have to understand how the logic of the market moves.
it is not the time frame that determine the entry.
it is the data. who dominates, buyers or sellers?
although the trend direction gives you the advantage, you still have to have reasonings.

in my charts engulfs are drawn in rectangles.
show me one of my charts with rectangle where you have difficulty in finding engulf.

Been a while since I posted in here but the 3 posts from ITB just now are literally all anyone could need, its distilled the absolute essentials into a model that can work and will work for anyone with the discipline to follow it. I've seen moderate success over the last few years as I absorbed as much material and as many concepts as I could, and this is honestly where I'd started to land aswell but not in such an elegant and clearly-thought-out a way. Bravo dude.

Couldn't agree more, happy and grateful I came across this thread as I've since shifted my focus (for the better) and starting to see results as a by product.

ITB, please see attached (h1 chart):
1 - Are those 3 engulfs marked correctly? (just for the sake of learning)
2 - At LTFs, I should be looking only to buy, correct?
3 - To you, what is a rejection of an eg to allow for a buy/sell?

remember we only have h1 here. in ltf the reading can change.
1. according to time sequence, the 1st one looked more like a day opening gap than an engulf to me. technically it is not engulf.
for the 2nd one as you had drawn from the open of the candle instead of the wick. it could be engulf in time frames lower than h1 which we can't see here.
the last one is engulf.
2. yes
3. candle that closes above the engulf or snr when coming out of engulf or below the snr.
