well guys you can call me carzy but i have held a ((small)) short 226.57 and set stop loss at 230.00 from late last night although i did hedge for some pips on the way up but i belive it will go down to 219.00 area at least ,,,will have to add some shorts on the way down in bigger lots if no else will i'll hang with you markum

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Bank earnings dropped by 3.4% in the second quarter of the year as troubled loans for real estate continued to pile up and net interest margins narrowed, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. reported Wednesday.

Earnings fell to $36.7 billion from $38 billion in the same period a year ago, the regulator said.
"Banks continue to face two key challenges," said FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair, "a difficult interest rate environment and ongoing weakness in residential mortgage lending."

But regulators are still worried about the turmoil in the subprime mortgage market, Bair said, calling it a "major concern."
She painted a grim picture of that market, saying many borrowers are facing "resets" -- a change in their loan payments -- in the third and fourth quarter and early next year.
"If we're talking about subprime resets," she told reporters at a press briefing, "the bulk of that problem is ahead of us."

I can't restrain myself from commenting but since you fell the same way like I do..., we definetly need a 4h candle closing below 50 monthly fib 225.60 area to trigger the downfall, but since 229 I see it as major resistance I am allready short
And with daily and weekly momentum pointing down it can be done.

Agreed - there is a strong possibility that this pair will re visit and test the bottom - the fact that it is hesitant at this level suggest that a lot of money is sitting on the side for a retest of the bottom before going long. It is very likely. It could go up from here but still the possibility of heading down and retesting the bottom is very high.

Guys how are you calling longs and shorts when the market is a typical example of a ranging market for quite sometime now ??!!
I mean why are people getting excited over 30 - 40 pips movement and start changing their direction accordingly ??!!

Most of you know that those kind of movements are nothing for GJ , and chances are still 50-50 for it to go in either direction (some good reasons for 231.50 and equally good reasons for 219!!)

I just had to speak it up cause I've been noticing that everyone here is eager to find a trade (out of boredom I dunno, or maybe cause we had a lot of action last week) Please my friends , remember that if you convince yourself of every movement to click the button....you'll loose what you made last week + a big chance to blow your account (I did it before and it was for that same reason!!)

Sorry if i bothered anyone but didn't feel it's right not to remind you of the above and to make sure newbies here understand that what happened last week IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN EVERY WEEK - so if you can't find a great setup to enter a trade......you are still a winner (at least by saving the stoploss that most probably gets triggered often in a ranging market)

Hello everyone...
I still hold my long positions but was about to change them to short before i saw this...
If you see the first circle, the pair broke the median down after a few tries and then tried to break it back up but got rejected from it after few attempts and fell down fast... Now we are having a similar position. The pair broke the median towards up, and ever since that time it's trying to break it back down but always getting rejected from the median.
Both scenarios happned at the 229.28 fib level which is also a major support...
So i am expecting the same story of a break out of that level in the next hours...

Of course, it does not have to work like that, but I will only go short after i See a break and a close below the median

Agreed 2...

And I believe the same for EURUSD,USDCAD,CABLE,USDCHF...

I have this feeling that we might test the last bottoms once more b4 start skyrocketing for new highs.

i.e. EURUSD= +- 1.33
CABLE = +- 1.96
USDDAD= +- 1.04
USDCHF= +- 1.18

Just my 2 cents and nothing more coz I could be terribly wrong

hahaha yeahh. I am using the ones you can mount on the MG3 machine guns

I always use black background but with green you could see better
i guessed

anyway.. I am not saying it wont go short... But better wait for that level to be broken.. Because the median seems to be working effectively..
we shall see
Thats why i am still holding my long positions.

also geppy is at 229 now and DJI is at 13180.. If it makes a run to 13210 again which is possible, than we can see the geppy to boost up for a while.
give me my pips back...

check the 4h, 4h has tested the 229 before.
so this time i think it will break 229 and up.

btw.. still sticking with my long, i hear people talking about 233.. markets settling down.. etc.. but then you always hear what you want to hear.. and disregard the rest

You can set the background on VT by right clicking, choose chart properties, select the spread band tab and you can change the colour from there.
