yes. if big sl is your concern.
sl at right shoulder instead of head would be 3929.
if cannot, the m3 would be 3934. just like mtf engulf to reduce SL by going to smaller tf.
if you insist SL to be at 3916, the price has to come down to your satisfied pips loss. otherwise no trade.
if nothing satisfy, then no trade.

Thanks I will, the problem has not been the analysis but maybe not accepting losses since I've mastered the analysis. I will give my trade time to breadth and stop looking at LTF for potential losses

wasn't ther a false m5 buy signal this moring during tokyo session? We had a m15 buy setup, so waiting for an m5 buy setup which was formed a little later, but price went lower after the m 5 entry signal.

The reasons are the same, but opposite to AUDUSD.
Liquidity sweep & BOS in H1 and created an engulf zone.

Hi, IMO this was not a valid buy setup, as the green candle has to close above the level to complete the M5 BOS, it just violates the high only.

Thx for the answer, relooking at charts posted by ITB setups often occurs with only highs/lows been violated, no close above or below. So

IMO, for a mechanical approach, there was no BoS in m5. However, a discretionary approach may find a m5 BoS.
Regardless of the approach, I would skip the setup due to the following

  1. The initial TP, the Extreme of the M15 structure has already been compromised by the M5 move.
  2. We were trading against the H4 bearish trend, so has to be a scalping trade with a reasonable TP. We never know when the HTF trend would kick in.

I would have looked for a new m5 setup, as long as the existing m15 structure was valid. And my new initial TP would have been the new high that you have mentioned.
