My analysis might be wrong ( correct me if I'm wrong ) but I think that's the likely possible scenario for today's price, there's a significant amount of order volume below the current significant low, if price hits this then we'll notice a good amount of volume entering and can be a good sign for bulls

-ps this is gold futures so price levels aren't aligned with forex but they likely state the same

Lots of ways, you can go 5 minute for better R:R, I went off the round number 4350 but I'd stick with engulfing candle with an increase in volume - less mistakes and then perfect technique.

That inside (grey) with the wick is one to really take but, engulfing is safest conformation with shorting gold at the moment.

The dark red is engulfing bearish, slight wick, but you have to accept the drawdown - In my past, I never liked this, I lost confidence in the trade and would exit early and this is a bad habit.

Stop above the high, or that pullback drawdown will get you if a fixed pip stop.

I think market wanted to fill this gap at 4317, tested support and then breaks the ATH.

Edit: ignore the support marked at 4278, its not.

Gold really likes round numbers and that's not unique to gold either.

Heres a clip of the two examples together, see how it pullbacks to the round numbers - both times

I have this set at 500 pip, I've increased opacity to show you
You can and people do, wait for it to trend and just trade from 500 to 500

It's reacting to yesterday highest volume area and New York session, (another good thing to mark highest candle from yesterday)
