Has anyone given any thought to reprogramming the paradox for mt5 just as a back up plan. This system that we have been trading for years is only good if mt4 exists and its probably a long way from becoming obsolete but if this will be our career than we should have a plan. I know we could come up with something close but I really like how Dana has done it. It’s hard to replicate some of the indicators parameters.

base on ur entry u enter the trend. Romar is down. white smooth is down. and ema crossed purple for a full blown trend going down. And with the db attached with magenta and paradox divergence telling u the trend will continue for the downtrend.

Yes, I used to think the ROMAR down was a requirement for that entry - however it seems it is not the confluence factor as far as I can tell so far.
Allow me to explain...

On the day before my entry (USA session) there was an entry on the PSAR hit with the DB at the bottom (1800 hours chart time) for the Long & +40 was had - yet, for the exact same reason for the Long as a counter ROMAR Trend entry, I did the Short on the next day's example shown on the chart.
So what I am saying is, regardless of following ROMAR Trend or Counter ROMAR Trend, the same success of greater than 80% is achieved - but not 100% success. I was wondering if there is a missing confluence factor in such a trade that so far has eluded myself which might transform the entry to be more in line with a 95 - 100% successful entry or is a >80% success rate something that we must accept from this scenario do you think?

take a close look at the one hour chart in both of those two trades you spoke of. The long and the short off the hit on the 2hour psar. These are incredibly different setups. I love the short trade as the one hour is in a slider and the two hour is set to go. That was 100% going down. Maybe they are both good setups but the second one is crystal clear. I remember Dove saying to not enter a trade unless the one and two hour are in agreement. It’s up to you as a trader that has to determine when there’s enough there to enter. There’s always a hint on one of the charts showing risk. It’s a beautiful sight to see all the charts line up. That’s when it becomes very high success rate but you have to wait and wait.

All it takes is two charts like the one and two hour fighting against each other to throw the market sideways. Then one gives in to the other and there’s your trade. My two cents

Risk - Nil other than unexpected USA news with new government


Entry: 0800hrs chart time - H2 PSAR hit with SAR on previous bar - prefer a close above PSAR but due to EMA Arrow not confirmed & 2nd hit of EMA on this swing down, entry Short is made.

Result: TP+40
Market went higher after entry and closed above PSAR, however the entry requirement was met & was the entry = SL was appropriate.
Once the 50% H2 Fibo was hit on the following bar after entry, that was a second entry point if the first entry was missed.
Profit was within about 3 hours of entry.

Good evening.

It is not very often that there are opportunities presented to us for 3 trades all within 10 hours after Reset - at least this is not the norm from my current perspective or trading ability .... and I thought I would show the ones that I had noticed retrospectively on today's UJ H2 chart.
I did not trade these myself today for medical reasons however these pictures may show you that it is possible to pick a trade during a session, even if you miss the first trade... or make an adjustment so that you may enter a trade and walk away for the day and do something constructive and meaningful with others.
I did manage to trade the GJ today and will post that trade later.

For training purposes, here is the chart for today with the UJ H2 showing typical entries for us to recognise as we learn. Remember if people are unable to use just a H2 chart, look for confluence on other time frames.
1st entry shows the top quite clearly for the Short
2nd entry shows the EMA Arrow for the Short
3rd entry Long is simple enough.

Okay, here is the GY trade that I took today.
I think it was Trader Marcos that originally said on the thread here that with the GY a slightly larger Stop is needed than the EJ, UJ or GU... because each pair outside of those three, has its own idiosyncrasies / habits and if you are not careful and adjust, you will face the inevitable failures & not know why.

Todays trade on the GY was a simple entry with EMA.
Why was this an entry?.. basically because Shinny says this... which became an inspiration for myself to try and try and try to "see" for myself what this stupid thing called The Matrix is ... practice and practice with many years of failing until I now see at least some of the manifestations.
What does Shinny say?
"Nobody can be told what The Matrix is. You'll have to see it yourself" & I have seen part of the matrix at this particular entry point I share today, so I enter without analysis - without questioning - & within the rules.
I am nowhere near as good a trader as Shinny is, however, the goal is to run a business that works - Yes? If the Business doesn't work, then we fix our Business until the Business does start to work - then we fine tune. How do we fix it? Practice, Practice, Practice - & Study, Study, Study.
Boring Boring Boring - so what? "Tough Bikkies" as we say in our country - which means do it tough if you have to and need to in order for you to get the reward. A Bikkie is a biscuit. A tough biscuit is not pleasant to eat or swallow - it's usually the burnt one and you need a vice-like jaw-bone & huge jaw muscles in order to chew on it.
We want the results, then we must complete the work. Pretty simple maths.
How does Dana say it? There's no short cuts, which = "Tough Bikkies" & endure and work through the training because the training is the training & the training wont change ... we are the ones who must change.

Anyway GY H2 chart

Review: Late entry due to medical reasons & mid-bar entry - however this timing allowed an entry to be made at a lower market price, mid-bar, compared to the open bar. Thus allowing for a 40SL to be set instead of the larger SL of 40 that is normally required on the GY & consequently also allowed for a higher than 40 TP to be set. TP was set 40 pips above H2 open bar. Entry was correct.
TP+60 taken from the market.

Someone once said back in 2017... "Scroll back, backtest and backtest and you will see the same things happening over and over. Look at the whole picture and how everything works together."

Seems like a wise idea - Yes?

Nice Trade Oli, ROMAR,EMA, Psar were support, MACD up, all indicators were showing to north, as Shinny said it "Bread and Butter" in one of his posts.

Finally, Capital has been recouped.

I think I'm a year or two behind your level - I know what you mean about it seeming like a marathon, but worth it.
I'm getting the hang of confluence with Support and Resistance, but timing still needs work.
Pulling the trigger at just the right moment's a skill I haven't mastered yet but working on it.

I don't know whether or not there are still people on the forum who are trying to get to grips with the Paradox, but if there are, this may help.
There's a great deal of 'noise' in the posts which makes it difficult to sort out the significant ones, so some time ago I decided to go through The Paradox thread and select all the posts with Dove's name at the top.
Using MS Word, I grouped the posts into different categories by searching specific terms.
One of the terms I searched on was 'Tutorial'.
There were some posts that weren't headed 'Tutorial' but for me they were important posts, so I have included them in the category. There were a number of posts that referred to 'tutorial' but weren't tutorials. So, I have left them out.
The upshot is that there are 42 posts that I have in my category of 'Tutorial'.
I've given each of the posts a descriptive title that I hope is self-explanatory.
I'm not sure how many attachments I'll be allowed per post, but I'll keep on adding new posts until all 42 are uploaded.
Dove said on a number of occasions that he was dead against using any additional indicators or Expert Advisors that added to the Paradox screens.
However, I have found that for me, going back through some of the historical trades mentioned in some of the posts, seeing just where to enter a trade is a little obscure because of a degree of 'repainting', especially with the DB and the SAR.
To that end, I purchased a copy of SoftFX, a forex simulator. Now it doesn't match the real time data exactly - the values in the Thistle, Magenta and Green boxes differ by one pip or so, but the crossovers, attachments and Fibo's are pretty spot on and help to show on just which bar an entry would've worked.
Anyway, just my thoughts.
