Really sad to hear this,

Difficult to find the words when someone who motivated and touched so many lives is no longer with us.

I discovered ForexFactory and this community thanks to reading his thread 3 years ago and decided to finally join last year. Thanks to that, felt dragued and intrigued by so many things that I´m learning as a beginner, and wouln´t be possible with the help of others traders here.

Those that start knows how lonely and frustrating this journey can feels. In some way, Rocky was that fuel for joining the community and to others traders to starting their own journey too.

Kind and generous soul. His dedication to sharing knowledge, and his view of life...made a lasting impact on this community.

Every word of encouragement he gave will live on in the minds and hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.

Rest in peace Rocky. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten...

Tried to replicate Rockypoint's charts in MT4.. the only difference is I hid the grid and used a hide-button type Heiken Ashi.
Drop indi in the indi folder and the template in template folder.

I'm running one of my own versions of the rocky method alongside my other charts today as well. A little Rocky Revival in honor of rocky and all he's done for us here.

Thankyou…. I find it interesting that traders Rockypoint, LauraT and many others have similar trend following setups or systems; some use a small number of indis as a visual guide to help take out the noise that candles on lower timeframes can appear to be. The pop out of a squeeze of BB bands (RockyPoint) or price folding over or moving away from high/low Moving averages (LauraT) are simple. As the late EelFranz and Rockypoint would say KISS ‘keep it simple silly’. Even the contrarians keep it simple. Market wizard Linda Raschke often says you only need one pattern- that’s simple enough. With all the simplicity, traders like myself still struggle…. I’ve been experimenting Rockypoint/LauraT variations too.. maybe I can post some here as Rockypoint made variations, but stuck with his core plan.

Personally I think that is a great idea. Far be it for me to answer for rocky at this point, buy knowing what we know of him and the kind person he was, (kind person, not kind of person) I think rocky would like nothing more than for people to continue to value and grow from his thread.

People, if you know Rocky name, last name or whoever lives in Mexico, close to Puerto Peñasco, also known as Rocky Point, it may be possible to find out what happened to the healthy, very fit and joyful person Rocky.

I just have this feeling something nefarious happened. I know it is not my business, but it is, as Rocky was part of my trading mind for the last 5 years.

I sure would want to know if he, at least gone based on health reasons and not anything outside of it.

There are no doubt others here who at least know rocky's first name. I'd hope that any of you with whom rocky shared his private info will respect his privacy and keep it to yourself.

I don't know what happened. His wife hasn't shared that. But she is shocked, lost, and broken. I know rocky's name, first and last, and at this point I have no desire to DOX a dead man who was a wonderful friend to me.

He has passed. If I ever find out more and if I am at liberty to share I will share it here.

I doubt there was anything nefarious. He wasn't old, but at 71 he was in that danger age range where heart attacks and strokes can be just a heartbeat away. If his death was the result of some accident, I wouldn't impute any foul cause behind it.

For now, let's continue to honor our friend rocky as he'd want us to remember him. rocky was not a conspiracy theorist. In all my interactions with him he was the most level-headed intelligent of people whom I ever met through the internet. There may be someone here who knew rocky better than I, though if so, there are not many.

Let's remember rocky and the kind person he was, the good man he was, and the wonderful methods he shared.

As I said he was healthy, very fit and joyful person. Our presidents are older than 71.

71 is not old. I am OK with cherishing memory of Rocky and find out what happened.

I love Mexico. I have a home in Mexico. I feel safe in Mexico. you are at no more at risk of something nefariously happening to you in Mexico than you are in the United States for example.

I know so many people that have passed away at Rocky's age and younger 99% due to health... And I am certain it's the same with Rocky.

There is nothing to be gained by knowing the exact cause.. let the man rest in peace and be honoured.
