Just got back from picking up kid from work.

I had to rush out, so I closed for 10. Glad I did cos I see it made a LL.

I missed out on the 5 min bull div long.

There is such a lot to learn about analysis one needs to spend a year or so tackling each aspect to get familiar with it.

Anyone who thinks they can manage it just by reading something and not practicing it is just kidding themselves.

In the above case we have a swing high above the EMA = A

Then we have a swing low below the EMA = B

As we can see it forms a wedge or triangle shape, we await the breakout.

The target is 1.5 times the vertical distance of the triangle from B.

So, we see that price stayed within the D50% and the D150% levels on the 15 min. In other words, price is currently ranging.

It's the first time you are sharing that knowledge. Please provide more details, sir, or maybe I remember incorrectly, and you have mentioned that knowledge before.

Yes, I have spoken of it before. These wedges have to have certain characteristics otherwise we would be drawing wedges all over the place when clearly this cannot be true. The one I showed was perfect in every detail.

These are dealt with in terms of vertical lines for distance, breakout time and target hit time.

A and B are the swings on each side of the EMA. Price then makes a series of moves failing to make both HH's and LL's so forming a wedge with the pointy end a C.

This is where the vertical plotting starts.

1st A vertical from B to A. this when multiplied by 1.5 gives us the target distance,

2nd Divide the distance from B to C into 4 vertical segments. (Quarters)

3rd Price should breakout at the 3-quarter mark.

4th Price should reach its target price by the end of the 4th quarter (C)

Sometimes there are tiny variations, none the less it is still a measurement in the change of market sentiment mostly continuing a trend.

Please correct if I'm wrong, sir.
Honestly, I don't know how to precisely determine point C to make the wedge.

You have it drawn correctly. Well done.

I had just sat down to observe right after the price had moved and formed a setup. Initially, I expected it to be a scalp, but it had turned into a trade.

Random Musings:
I particularly love the “V” pattern. Yesterday, when observing the charts of the GBP/USD, BTC/USD, and XAU/USD, I noticed they all shared the same scenario: at the start of the London session, the price dropped sharply with two H1 candles, and then surged upward to form a “V” pattern. You can see this in the H1 charts of the three pairs I mentioned above.
Once the price has formed the other side of the V, if it breaks out that side, there is a high probability that the price will revert to a downward state, in line with the initial trend of the London session (the first side of the V). And indeed, yesterday, all three pairs—GBP/USD, BTC/USD, and XAU/USD—made lower lows.
