Thanks COG. I know my time frame is much lower than those debated here , the 15 minute and above it seems. Therefore I will monitor Islands approach on the three and one minute Index Futures ( SP500 usually for me).

Please find attached another version of the Dtosc by mladen (pretty well known in MT4/5 circles)
Just tested it on my machine so it should work (also added the mq4 source code, just in case)

6087 might be resistance for my long so I am getting out and off for tea and biscuits. Pleased with result but I know I have to do more trades to see if I have a new edge to improve my results further.
Really impressed with this thread. Island is a gent.

Hi Turnip,
I think this thread will be great. I had an average day today. I made some $ but I got distracted looking at TV (That's Trading view not TV watching the Superbowl) and talking to Cog. Actually I was watching the Superbowl
I will be more focused on trades tomorrow and will do my best to help

I have posted a one minute chart of SP500 as well as the above. I think that the one minute is messier but ( noting time - I am in the UK and look from 2:30pm) one still has a trade. It just seems that the 3 minute keeps your finger off the trigger until a decent opportunity forms. And time reduces your trade count to those taken around my first two hours of USA open. I only need a handful of points to be happy. No Superbowl here, just a grey, cold snow threatening sky.

It is all down to timing and knowing the characteristics of the market you trade. You have a good understanding of trading.

I had a look at 5m Gold. It looks like it is rolling over and there was also some resistance above.

I'm showing some great scalping opportunities. Taking profit within 1-2 candles, when price touches the band.

Long term, not sure which way it will go, but I like aggressively attacking positions with the signals.

Ofc you have to have razor sharp spreads with your broker though, that's just how it goes on LTF scalping

Are you using 5m to scalp

The band trading is not my idea. I did a trading course many moons ago and it was based on the bands. I just combined it and now have this.
The trader always took 1st profit at the bands.
