I just ran a backtest with those settings; thank you for pointing out this technical issue. I will update that.

If you understand how it works, of course you will combine it with a suitable indicator,
with suitable settings and according to your trading style
The combination of several indicators is only the beginning of a system,
because your operational trading style still includes many things
example :
When the trend buys, how to open buy and close buy is an art of manipulation that must be included in your trading style
The 2 trend indicators that I use in my EA are TMA-CG and MA, but apart from that I still use several other indicators in my EA
don't ask me about parameter TMA-CG and MA

close the order only if the close order option that I applied to the EA meets the conditions
Yes, including changes in trend and profit
Manual hedging will make you hesitate, automatic hedging can cause big drawdowns
I only place orders in one direction according to trend signals , and close opposite

i changed because i read further and closing seemed to be the answer to how your trades mostly were on trend.

I tried your ea, think it works fine. it taken and pass trough the big move end of September.

But could't make any mores testing because it ended trial.

I am probably interested if possible at least the version you put in here.

Could you share it? or sell it? the first version.

Care to share the the upadted version for trial?

Why trial? Don´t get me wrong i respect your work, but to test this forward is also work and with trial version i will be the one at the end with empty hands!

Because that EA was to serve as an example of what I've found with grid trading. This thread wasn't about that EA in particular. I simply shared it to receive feedback and hear thoughts about grid trading. Thanks for your respect.

Thank you for this interesting discussion.

Does anyone know of a grid system that OPENS new positions based on the equity drawdown. ( not new positions based on - pips )
For example: If drawdown reaches -10 USD the ea must open another position similar to the one that is open.
I trade with 2 pairs at a time, and using pips does not work for my strategy.
I will have the ea on 2 x charts so that it opens a averaging position for both pairs.

Will appreciate id anyone could refer me to an existing ea that can do this - or, if someone could build it, and share it here it will great as this could be useful to other traders too.

We’d like to assume when we get our first signal the timing is right however opportunities are fleeting and you may at times take a leap of faith this where risk management and trademanagement. If you’re taking an opportunity i suppose you have a tp in mind the mystery is know when/were/how sp applies. In the end grid strategies is setting aside a set risk% to a zone and dollar cost averaging.
