oh this is so true, reminds me back in 2011 or maybe it was 2012 when i first traded forex with hfm, good lord the amount of failure that had to happen to get one point/lesson accross.. and now a days we have forums like FF that helps newbies avoid the mistakes of past traders.

This forum is massive, so I'm curious to hear how everyone goes about predicting their trades. Always blows my mind how people think when it comes to trading strategies!
I have been a trader for a long time, but I started developing EAs in MT4 last year.
What I wanted from this Forum is to get help from traders who know how to use EAs and are interested in testing our EAs.
The issue is that, between developing and testing, with so many different assets and configurations, it is almost impossible to test all the situations that can potentially help to discover the best setups and assets to trade a specific EA.
So, my idea is to get guys who have already used EAs and are interested in testing ours to help us find the best setups.
The problem is that since I am new here, I cannot even publish a thread to inform you about it.
Do you rely on advanced strategies like multi-timeframe analysis or a specific combination of leading and lagging indicators to counteract the inherent delays in signals? How do you balance the trade-off between early entries and false signals when using a mix of trend-following indicators and oscillators?

We all trade our own belief systems and personalities.
I am not in the "don't use indicators" camp, I am more in the " Don't trade based on indicators, but don't trade against them either" camp. In other words, don't go long simply because the "fast" moving average crosses above the "slow" moving average. Rather, only go long when the "fast" moving average is above the "slow" moving average. Indicators help determine which direction to trade, while price action tells you when to trade in that direction.

hi all, may be little out of the topic, is any one know how to get the forexfactory historical calendar? Like last 3-5 years of calendar?

Do you need data for particular indicator? Did you check something like tradingeconomics? They gather historical macro data and also have API to request what you need.
