And the Master Plan (graphic) from, what, 80 years ago

Has anything really changed (what is old, is new again, on 10,000 FF threads).

The graphic below shows us the repeating cycles.

But the graphic won’t show us the price or intraday targets or intra-day levels where we might enter or exit a trade.

Each trader will form their own opinion as to where and what they are. And again at their own discretion.

Whether it’s mechanical old school charts Pete or processed by supercomputer, the fact remains that pattern from 80 years ago demonstrates the most efficient way for the market provider to turn a profit.

Boom Andy.

When I first heard about forex some 5 years ago I always thought how kind it was of them,
to make the Currency Markets now available for us Retail traders,
so that we can join in with all the profit-making that they were making.

Took me a few years lol to find out how kind they really were
And then it was down to some hard work to try and just see it. Getting there slowly hahaaa

All the best pal

The graphic is only missing the "spring" or fake move from accumulation & distribution phases, it's an important part of the move.

Good share, turnip

I enjoyed Dr David Paul's talks over the years. He and Tom Hougaard put Mark Douglas's theories into practice and have been trying to show the rest of us how to do it too.

RIP, Dr. Paul.

A very important part that forms the bear trap on the failed breakout below the spring...

Conversely I believe I have heard the top spring actually called the "upthrust" the failed breakout higher thus forming a bull trap.

Neither here nor there the terminology I gather .. point is these are traps that have gotten us all.. ..
Thanks for pointing that out Shabs

I was just using wyckoff terminology, coined by him over 90 years ago, he called it a "spring" to signify the "fake" breakout, essentially a market trap, where profesionals are out to get a better fill by hunting stops, of those traders that took the first reversal.

All we have to be aware of as traders, is that it happens frequently and that we either have wider stops or wait for the trap to complete to avoid
getting stung.

THe 50% level.. ya ya not a fib we all get that.. BUT the 50% level is 100% a very integral part of
Price Behaviour market mechanics etc etc... Attractor/target/Confluence it plays many roles all defined
by its surrounding context.

So a further followup on the GJ ...I saw the setup forming and was ready to take action if a setup occured
in the US session...Missed it.. London took it..

Further to that was where did that setup finish ? The 78.6% level of the Weekly swing....and where did price
finish.....at the 50% level.... gotta love the behaviour of price.....

YES !!!

The final "spring" from the downward drive is where all the drawdown buyers get a final kick in the guts (and likely close the lot in desperation)
and ALSO where
all the 'new' breakout sellers come in and get flipped over in the fake move
and then a whole new set of drawdown traders are in the big mix again (if they don't close out quick)

What a game we play

OBSERVATION ...
is a large key imo to any hard set method system of trading we might engage
