Breaching 1914 means next 1910 and then all the way down to 1884 as TP

I was out for some time due to an urgency and returned recently.Price hit my TP @1920 and drop continue downward.As I can see my chart Price provide the sell signal but news can spike it upward up to 1922-23 area before drop it. So be careful and trade safe buddies

i meant cant trade yields so why look at it.... better to look at bond prices which a person can trade

i made a couple posts about bond futures probably while you were on vacation looking like they bottomed and that im buying TLT for my retirement accounts

so thats another negative on all the other negative reasons for gold because people will get out of gold and buy bonds since they make money on interest and price of the bond increasing so they get a double bubble.

I suppose one reason I see it differently is due to the Dollar having lost 72% of its purchasing power since 2001. Only 22 years. Sure people may get interest on it but you'll only be getting it back in nominal terms. You'll still be poorer in real terms. In other words, US bonds would have needed to have given you a 72% return over the last 22 years for you to have broken even.

Even if they have done that, which they haven't because they hardly had a yield on them since 2008, which is why there have been 5 US bank failures so far this year, the US government can't afford to pay the interest on the bonds at 4, 5, 6 percent without either massive spending cuts, which they won't do, or massive inflation. Bond yields have been rising at the moment precisely because of the US budget deficit worries.

US Bonds are only as good as the governments promise. That alone should be of a slight concern, regardless of the political side of the fence anyone is on.

Remember that it was just a few years ago that the Yen was considered a safe haven? Below shows how quickly hyperinflation can take hold.

EDIT: The crucial component that is currently missing is fear. But it will come.
