Trying to get ex4 files to work

Hello, I’ve been trying to get some ex4 files to work. I drop them into the indicator folder but they don’t show up. I tried to refresh the indicator list, uninstall and reinstall mt4. Checked the boxes to make sure I can use third party indicators. But nothing seems to work. Any help is greatly appreciated

Make sure you have the .ex4 files in the correct folder. Best way to make sure is click File menu and choose "open data folder ". Expand the MQL folder and you should see an Indicators folder, open that and this should be where your files are.
If they are in there, it may be the case that the files are not indicators but maybe scripts or experts. Can't say what they would be without seeing the source code for the files...
Once they are in there, you can just refresh the list in MT4 and they should appear. Check the Experts and Journal tabs for any error messages.

like Someone said, if it’s in the wrong file it not gonna show, so you have to check the file and it’s destination

Why not post some of these indicators here ?
